Why do some feel Wilder has a tougher defence than Joshua next?

We saw Wlad school Kubrat, then Joshua beat Wlad

Ortiz on the other hand is a real life King Kong, undefeated KO artist.

Deontay Wilder vs Luis Ortiz is as dangerous s facing Anthony Joshua

I would favour Pulev to beat Ortiz at this current time, but you never know how someone will be after a battle.
Pulev is the more accomplished tougher fight, but I think Joshua is so powerful that it gets forgotten amongst the hype

Yes Ortiz looked every bit as dangerous as Joshua when he was facing Scott and Allen

I know there is levels in boxing. that is not in dispute. Im saying I feel Pulev is the better challenger. That doesnt mean that I dont think Joshua wont have an easier time than Wilder, because as you note there are levels or styles make fights, but I would favour Pulev pre Joshua to beat Ortiz pre Wilder

The Cuban boxers have a reputation that carries over from their amateur program. They always get a lot of hype and for the most part, for good reasons. They are usually very sound technical boxers with an extensive world class resume. Albeit, at the amateur level but it gives the Cuban boxers a a lot of experience for those who actually immigrate to other countries to start a professional career. A lot of these guys have over 250 fights and have been to multiple Olympic Games winning gold. So the reason Ortiz is seen by some as a more difficult opponent is based on the historical perspective of the Cuban boxing program. Not to mention Ortiz has proven to be a very solid heavyweight as a pro.

Im not seeing it you need power to beat these guys...Joshua/Ortiz! Ortiz looked like average against Scott even in close quarters...if that ortiz shows up against a wilder( i know fight cancelled) he would have eventually caught a right hand...and i would go by his last fight and his inactivity ...giving wilder the win.Maybe Pulev now could defeat him but even in the Scott fight if he fought like that ,you have to get him off you. Im not sold on pulev beating competant power punchers and Ortiz can box.

the thing that gets me with Pulev i know he can hit really hard ,ive seen it in training, but i dont see it in his fights enough.
