Because we've seen some horrible, horrible decisions over the years, with boxing anything could happen and if you raise your arm at the end you can claim you knew you won even if you know you didn't really.

It's a mixture of all the reasons listed above. With Berto its probably because he went 12 with an atg. He never expected the win. He's probably, in part, also celebrating the payday.

I think the hand raising pales in comparison to some of the post-interviews tbh. I mean, did Berto actually believe he won?

Berto earned a lot of cash, so he and his family may enjoy by the end of their lives - and that is a great success, in any case. So, he was right raising his hands.

It's supposedly out of pride, but raising your hands after a fight everyone knows you lost is lying to yourself and a fighter doing that should be ashamed. It's like guys with hair transplants or other ridiculous cover-ups. A balding man should feel so insecure about himself if he does, as it means he doesn't have the honesty and pride to accept himself.

You can watch the first six rounds and know he won. You can watch the first six of Sal****er's fight and know he lost.

You have to be a fighter to truly understand his mind state a to why he/she does this. He could be cheering the fact that he came out of the ring ok, and he could be thinking that he truly won. There are many reasons for doing this, but you have to hear it from the fighters who go out there and put their lives on the line for our entertainment.
