Why do some people hate Vic Darchinyan?

    Fact.

    If more fighters were like Darchinyan in their attitude towards fighting the best - win or lose - the sport would be in a better state, and EVERYONE knows it.

    I've got nothing against Vic, he certainly did well last night and his attitude, i.e., trash talking isn't my cup of tea, but as long as he backs it up..it seems to be his modus operandi. Can't say much more than that about him however, as he has that great white elephant in his living room, so to speak, called Donaire, who's his bridge too far, IMO. But that's no knock against Vic really, as Donaire, in my opinion is the MAN at his weight....he's another story altogether.

    That's a brave call. Seeing as how we have proven that people who say this sort of thing:

    1) don't have any reasons that stand up to scrutiny
    2) are just jumping on some gay bandwagon for whatever ****ed up reason
    3) don't like boxing much.

    A brave call indeed.

    I applaud for you having enough spare time to come onto a forum and spend time posting about a sport you don't like.

    I like Vic. He is a tough guy, a brave person, but he's not a very skilled fighter compared to Donaire, Rigondeux, Pacquiao or the Mayweather's of the world.

    He reminds me a lot of Mike Tyson. You have to like him, and his fighting style, but you know he's not going to beat some of the best because hes just not at that level. If he can't hurt you he can't beat you.

    I'm a Vic fan. I can understand some people that say they dislike Vic because of his trash talking. I don't support his trash talking when it goes too far, but I do like him.You can dislike his personality but you got to love him as a fighter. As long as his trashing talking doesn't go too far and is not too personal and that he backs it up in the ring, I can deal with it. And he's a fantastic fighter in the ring.:deal
