Why do some people rate Frazier above Tyson?

    Michael Spinks also regardless of Michael moving up in weight. Spinks had some decent wins at heavyweight.

    Tyson was for the most --- only a 6 round fighter.

    Now getting stopped by that guy was a real joke.
    Forman would have done the same to Tyson as per Frazier.

    He got hurt by Bruno and Smith but recovered fast to beat them and basically cleaned out his division. The reason Tyson never got in deep trouble often is because of his better durability. He also regained two legitimate titles after his loss, something Frazier never did. Frazier reigned longer but Tyson has more overall defenses. Tyson easily has more depth in his wins though the Ali I win was one of the greatest wins of all time. Tyson is greater imo but it's pretty close. Frazier's style does better against Ali but as an overall threat H2H I also have Tyson higher.

    Frazier was an all around better fighter and he fought in a much tougher era.

    jerry quarry would never beat razor ruddock....... nor tony tucker........michael spinks would give quarry fits and probably beat him.....

    Frazier ranks higher than Tyson by accomplishments! Tyson would murder Frazier. Prime Tyson had tight defance and a lot of power he would brutalize Joe who came at you with his head first. Styles make fights Joe could never beat Foreman as he couldn't beat Tyson IMO.

    Because Frazier had the balls to fight prime Foreman and Tyson ducked a old fat one. Tyson never got off the floor to keep fighting or get up to win period.

    Tyson ducked no one before going to prison...As the #1 contender after Douglas, he fought #2 Ruddock twice just for the **** all of it...I remember Big George not wanting a whole lot to do with Tyson at that time...
