    Like ****ing badass muthas?

Guys like Hearns, Jackson, Hagler, G-Man, Benn, Tyson, Duran etc?

What is it that makes these guys look like TOUGH ****ers regardless of if they were in a ring or a street?

Ie: Hatton. Ok, Rough ******* in the ring, But he's just a lager lad.

Now G-Man? That's a fierce as **** guy, Ring or not!

There were more superfights back then and just tremendous matchmaking. The best fighting the best. I don't blame the fighters as much as the promotors nowadays, but when there is a demand you must supply to the masses at all costs. I also think those fighters were tougher and boxing was more mainstream back then and many were household names so more was expected from them in general. Bigger talent pool IMO.

i know what you mean, only sugar ray was a pretty boy out of the lot, but every other dude was a Charles Bronson, hard as **** mutha****a. Ganstas to the core, the kind of guys you build action films around. i think generally, in society and culture though, we ve become more metrosexual, more beckhamy, more mens health and GQ , more soft.

i mean look at our action stars- back then we had sly and arnie, hard mutha****as- now we have - what - ryan reynolds?? ****in captain america looks like a bisexual gap wearing model. its not the same. men HAD to be men then.

and its the same in sports- the guys then didnt wear moisturiser, have stlyists, or have personal training at health and fitness centres, the lifted dead bodies to get into shape, and hit ****in horses . its just the way it is. 20 years from now, people will be saying ****** bieber was a right thug next to the androgynous *** that comes out in 2030.

I agree 100% I blame the promoters and some of the fighters who choose an oponnent they feel they can defeat. The risks were a lot greater back then and that's what made great fights.

As a 35 year old about to be 36, I'm constantly saying that society is turning into a bunch of wusses. You hit it on the head.
