Why does neither brother ever fight mid range and use this kind of head movement and skill? Would it not be more exciting to fans who find them boring?

I have. They're much more exciting than the 2 guys with all the physical advantages but who don't like to take chances. I suppose its smart, but it will still bore you to tears.

Im a fan of the sport, not any particular fighters. Therefore I am compelled to watch them, so in turn judge by what I see.

Would they not be more exciting fighting this way? Ots a yes or no answer, not very difficult.

I think Vitali actually shows quite a lot of head movement, he also does not clinch so if someone wants to fight midrange they can stepin.
Wlad uses his legs more for defense, i suppose he could be more exciting slipping and using more mid range but seeing as hes got a suspect chin why should he?

I enjoy watching Vitali fight, Wlad im ok with although hes not exciting if others arent good enough to force him out of his comfort zone its their problem.

But to directly answer your question, Vitali no because he pretty much already does, Wlad yes but why should he.
Outside of the USA they have huge global tv contracts and rake in multi million dollars per fight, doubt either cares what people think.

Vitali does move his head quite well at times.

I do agree though that Wlad tends to go into autopilot when he has someone soundly beaten and he could just knock them out at any moment he chooses.

People would probably be more forgiving of his safety jabbing style if he would only do it while a opponant is still dangerous.
Like i was perfectly ok with him jabbing Haye to **** as he was still posing a threat with those fast lunging hayemakers.
But a Chambers and such should have been taken out much sooner.

I think his fight with Thompson is more of a plan he should follow, he had a live dangerous opponant and he broke him down and once he felt he had him he went for the KO hard.
He would be more exciting if he fought with that same urgency more often.
That KO actually came just the way you just asked for, he stood midrange.. slipped a punch with headmovement and hammered in that right hand.

Can't believe im writing a serious post on ESB in a Klitschko thread.... bound to be overrun with haters and huggers any moment now.

So is the question why they dont Fight exciting way or what?

They fight like intelligent boxers as using their good reach advantage keeping their oppontents distance. that is a skill. However They dont show versatility all that much which would make them more exciting thou. They still punch to hurt their opponents while boxing **** out of them and usually stop them.

The K2 have such long range and excellent jabs that they rarely need to engage when they can simply stun a man with their jab then drop them with a hard cross or straight.:thumbsup

Thank you for the compliment. I figured it would be a good given their competition. Bith are very good fighters and are fighting the way they should as to never take chances, but they would undoubtedly be more exciting fighting mid range nd still have the luxury of physical and skill advantages over most of their opponents. See the post by Daruf for a nice breakdown though.
