David Price and Wilder are hilariously portioned for their size. Vitali, Wach and Ustinov are all around the same height. Yet they're sturdy and compact. Their chins are also sturdy unlike Price or Wilder

This. I think weak chins can be a result of lack of neck strength due to its length. Just look at mexican fighters. Most of them have stocky shoulders and shorter next and they are notorious for being able to absorb shots. Im also of the belief that punching power comes from not only the legs but from the forearm and wrist. The better aligned with your forearm the stiffer the wrist the harder the shot. I came to this conclusion because when i lived in the Bronx i knew a guy who was about 5`8 145lbs and while he was bean pole thin i seen this guy lay out guys much larger than him. Im talking straight up put to sleep. what i noticed about this guy was he had unusually thick forearms and his wrists were thick asf.

There are exceptions to every rule. But I bet if you did a statistical analysis on the percentage of tall fighters with shaky mandibles, it would be - all other things being equal - greater than those who are shorter.

I won't argue that. How do you rate Valuevs chin? I'd say it was pretty solid. The shot Haye wobbled him with would have ended most glass jawed heavies.

Oh, of course. Who would argue that? Valuev clearly had a rock solid chin, if nothing else. I don't think it was Oliver McCall-level, as Haye's shot showed, but clearly on the higher end.

Hahahahahahahahahahha calls lewis a glass jaw because he got koed 2x times in one of boxing most dangerous eras 90s hws? Did you ever saw the punches he took from vitali or from briggs before koeing those guys? Or wlad who losed 3 times by ko in 65 fights and losed to brewster and sanders, both with trmendous power. Valuev never even lost by ko and only got rocked once by haye after 12 rounds of punishment. And fury has eaten the best overhand right that cummingham ever pulled of in his life, got up without a problem and you wanna tell me that hes got a glass jaw.
You guys are sitting too much infront of yt, i am sure some of you really think that theiy have got better chins then those guys.
You cant be a a level heavy weight with a ok chin, you need to have a GOOD chin

What are you talking about???? Vitali is probably a candidat for a top 5 chin in boxing. Pulev also has a decent chin. And you can not tell anything about joshuas chin.
Really pathetic you would be koed for 4 months after chisoras slap on the presser and you are going to tell those guys that they are glass jaws.

But i do agree that david proce hasnt got a good chin.

The 70s were much more dangerous. Some of the hardest punchers that boxing ever saw came from that decade, Frazier, Foreman, Shavers, Norton, Lyle etc.

Very weak argument, mate! He has never been down.Besides we are talking about boxing. We are not talking about vidio games for teens or childish day-dreaming of inmature children.Whoever has ever been inside a ring, amateur or pro one, knows that anyone can be stunned and hurt by a good opponent.Valuev has never gone down.I give him that! To call him glass-chinned is just ludicrious.
And neither had Lewis a glass chin.Sure,he was knocked out by Rahman.Nevertheless,a ko loss doesnt automatically make you a guy with a glass chin.Kos happen in his this game,it is the hurt game after all.

Taller = thinner legs and neck = weaker punch resistance.

Neither Shavers nor Norton had a particularly good chin. Earnie Shavers is one of my all-time favorite fighters. But sorry, his chin was not very sturdy.

Uh, no crazy guy, just rational. I've long noted your insane, brain-dead crusade, but never felt the need to point out its imbecility before now. Of a limited selection of fighter over 6'4, we have a candidate for Goat chin, a candidate for top ten atg chin in Valuev, and a potential future candidate for top ten atg chin in each. No hero worship, except for you for shorter hw's, just rationality. Taller hw's have a better chin strength proportionate to their presence than shorter hw's.
