Its the skill, heart, courage involved. Displays and Expresses the true talent and pushes men to their limit when there under pressure and shows how training can improve an individual so much both mentally and pysically. plus its kool to watch

Because its the toughest sport in the world that requires the athletes to also be the best in the world. I try telling friends that some of the lower weight-class guys are composed of the best athletes in the world. Unfortunately I get laughed at, but the proof is there for those who want to see it. Just watch Vazquez/Marquez, Pac/JMM, etc. Best athletes in the world IMO

And if you think your messed up in the head from liking boxing, then how messed up are ya if you get in the ring? :nut

Its tough to explain how hard boxing is to none boxing fans or people who never actually tried boxing themselves. I box in the ametures and know its the hardest sport in the world, but ma football mates have that attitude "how hard can it be, its only punching" freaks

Well I just like watching dudes beat the living **** out of each other.:yep

But not only that, I also appreciate their courage and the skill of the sport. Which is why I prefer the skilled savagery of boxing over garbage like MMA. Boxing can be both brutal and beautiful at it's highest level which I don't think other combat sports live up to.

Because we are all sadistic mofos; the more brutal the KO the better. However, a few moments after the KO, we just want the fighter to be okay.

What the ****? All of those apply to other combat sports as well, especially MMA. Nothing wrong with prefering boxing, but no need to look like a jackass and trash another great sport just so you can score imaginary points in some "war" that only exists in idiots imaginations.

I love boxing and other combat sports because they are the purest forms of competition.

Lets put it this way, you'll never see fighters get mad at each other and start a basketball game in the middle of a fight. All athletes really deep down want to be fighters.

 What other sports display the brilliance and skill of boxing? MMA? Pfffft, I don't know about you but watching that crap reminds me of two kids hitting the floor and rolling around in the playground. I don't see much craft in that at all.

The rest of the martial arts look good only when choreographed by hollywood because in real life they're just an odd mess of awkward punches and off balance kicks. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING compares to the beauty of watching two boxers slip, duck, and roll away from shots while countering the living **** out of each other and watching their legs crumble to the canvas under the power. Boxing is the perfect fighting art, visually speaking. Boxing > all other fighting arts.
