Why do we care so much about Floyd Mayweather...

    when he cares so little about his fans? Yeah, he's a great fighter. So what? he's not the first and won't be the last. Why do we pay $75 to watch him fight, when we can watch the future great fighters earn their way up the rankings? At Super featherweight Floyd was actually worth watching and he was on regular HBO now that he is old and boring, he cost us $75 to watch. What other sport is it cheaper to watch a prime, entertaining athlete than an old athlete who is proven to be safety first and unentertaining most of the time? Only in boxing.

    I personally wouldnt care if he retired today. the only thing that I would lose out on are fight parties with lots of people. the reason people care about him is his undefeated record and his status as a polarizing and controversial figure

    To be honest, I am a fan of Mayweather but I am getting sick of seeing all these threads about him, and 95% of them are from Pac fans. You would think that all there is to boxing revolves around Mayweather. The irony in this guy starting this thread.

    Maidana did better than everyone anticipated, he had a chance but didn't seize it. It's obvious Floyd has his struggles with Maidana.
