Don't get confused here mate...I tried to like Hatton for YEARS as he's a very likeable character however he's a horrible boxer...I realized this after the Collazo fight..Hatton doesnt punch his way in..This has long been understood...He may throw a punch and clinch then throw punches out of a clinch(as the arms he has tied up obviously leaves an opening on the body hence all the body KOs)this in my and many others(even brits)is more wrestling than boxing or fighting. But that's his whole game..And FIGHTING in close is something completely different than what Hatton does..for example Marquez, Vazquez, Cotto, Pavlik, and Juan Diaz are fighters that are the epitome of what fighting in close is.. NOT HATTON..Now if you can't decipher the differences between Hatton and fighters I mentioned you have serious issues..Ultimately your lead to the conclusion that Hatton is a wrestler with boxing gloves on..It couldnt be more blatant

PBF and Hopkins are the master showspoilers that throws in elbows or a head whenever they can so stop talkin that bs about dirty **** only happenin in UK. Hatton deserved his chance cause he`s knocked 40 blokes clean out-what fights have u been watching
and Haye aint done that much to be called a real fighter, not in Calzaghes league thats for sure.
Hatton is the first person to take the **** out of himself so your pisstake dont mean a ****in thing.

Your pisstake lands on deafears real.
It`s late focusing it on Hatton he`s already done that for you. Just talk some sence that we can all relate too rather than the nonsence you actually believe and come out with. You`ve only embarressed yourself by expressing what you actually think, which at the end of the day is BS.

Pacquiao doesn't put on as much weight as Hatton.

Hatton fights 10 lbs. above Pacquiao. when they balloon up in weight, I'm sure Hatton at his fattest is far more than 10 lbs heavier than Pacquiao at his heaviest.

Still I'm not able to understand that indigenous vernacular..I think maybe you should read abit more every now and then take a break so you can come on here for some schooling...Sorry about your hero being exposed for a wrestler...The reality is Hattons ducking Witter because he knows he'll lose plain and simple..You can believe the silly ass story about Ricky ignoring him because Witter keeps calling him out..well thats what boxers do especially if their in the same weight class let alone in the same ****ing country..so thats right your boy's a *****...And the sad thing is as much as I hate Malignaggi he would probably school Hatton PBF style..So **** you and **** your hero of a wrestler..He sucks..He got the dirtiest win in history of the sport over Tszyu and we all know it

You ****in moron. He aint my hero, not even close.Your head is so far up your ass real.
I got respect for Hatton simple as. What fighter gets in the ring with a wrestler? oh the best p4p does yeah thats right! ODH deals with wrestlers? Get ****in real. He was up for fighting the p4p king not some run of the mill fighter like Witter, jeez!
Your coming with this wrestler **** and trying to be a clever **** while your at it goes to show you need ****in schoolin.
I`ve never heard anyone on these forums mention the win over Tszyu as the dirtiest win in history. Just a disrespectable little **** who thinks only yank fighters can fight now **** off.

Totally agree with you about Cotto:good ive been preaching about him to anyone who would hear, i do know what you mean about Hatton though, what works for one person doesnt necessarily work for the other its cool. I have met Hatton several times and ive got to say he is a generally good guy, very likeable.

Since the Tszyu fight i do think he has fallen in love with bullying tactics, i.e.instead of working his way in he has been just bulldozing forward and smothering his own work!

The other fighters I've mentioned are as equally if not more skilled on the inside than Cotto...Ever watch Marquez-Vazquez2? Thats how to fight on the inside. I forgot Diaconu however. The point here is Hattons crucifiction and more importantly WHY he gets crucified...I've made my valid point abundantly clear..it's very hard to counter my assessment as it's true and plainly seen with at least one good eye by any educated and unbiased Boxing fan...As I've said I tried for YEARS to like Hatton only to be letdown by his tactics which partially inspires my anger as I KNOW he's capable of fighting and not wrestling however he chooses least resistance instead of sacrifice...On that note I've enjoyed the exchanges on this topic with the exception of welshdragon whos a child with poor grammar and poor boxing knowledge..to the rest of you Cheers:good

People have different body types, personalities, and metabolism's. Is getting way out of shape a good thing, NO!! However, for some to stay in that same year round condition? Its ****ing torture! In fact the majority have weight fluctuation and the degrees are dependent on the individual. Running, training, sparring, and starving becomes real old, real fast, on a year round basis, if one isnt inclined to have a high metabolism. Not to mention HUMAN!!!

I dont care that he's Ricky Fatton. God bless him, he still gets in shape when its time. That said? With all the money made, we probably wont see too much more of Hatton. He'll likely get a fight or two to erase the sting of the PBF loss, then sail his soon to be fat again ass off into the horizon. IMO Malignaggi and Witter would satisfy a complete career for him.

I wouldnt suggest following Hatton's lead but the majority will have weight fluctuation.

    Real,
So for all these yrs you`ve been let down by Hatton`s tactics. They have`nt really let him down? Why should he change them now?
30,000+ travelling to see him fight, no other boxer gets that, he must be doing something right.
The last fight against the #1 the plan went out the window, his head should have told him to diffuse the situation but he knew best as most fighters do when there actually up against it. He didnt listen once to the Preacher. Thats his style to summarise it all up.
1 loss against the best p4p fighter on the planet and there was only 1 dirty fighter that night and he wasnt from England, he aint done that bad. Money fights are what he`s looking at now and this is why Witter has to look elsewhere because he dont bring enough to the table.
I got out in `71 and followed boxing from an early age because i was surrounded by it. I dont need to be insulted real, i know the score for sure.
