This tournament was supposed to lift boxing into the mainstream, revolutionize the sport, give the fans what they want. We just saw a wild, dirty fighter throw looping shots into the air and get the decision over a fighter who landed crisp, accurate counters for the duration of the fight. We saw the (relatively) clean fighter get docked a point for retaliating. This was such a dreadful decision. Only Antonio Tarver was on the money, everyone was ****ing ******ed or on crack. If compare the meaningful punches landed, it was a landslide win for Dirrell.
man, thats the beauty of the super six. Even if you have a stinker or a controversial decision, these guys will be back in their next fight putting it on the line again. So Dirrell can still come back from this decision and win the tournament, while Froch might lose his next 2 and be eliminated. Or maybe Froch will go on to win it, while Dirrell will be eliminated, showing that Froch really is the better fighter. And even Taylor still has a chance. I think Taylor matches up pretty well against Dirrell and Ward.
