    Primary example of this:

    Zab Judah:
Lost to Baldomir, gets payday with Floyd.
Lost to Floyd, gets payday against Cotto.
Lost to Cotto, was given opportunity against Mosley blows it, and gets an opportunity against Clottey and quits.
but has priced himself out in several fights including Matthew Hatton and Diaz on the Floyd/JMM card

Reason why Judah took these fights was because he had no where else to go, he blew his chance for stardom and was cashing out at the expense of others. He was damaged goods since Baldy and accepted his position as a gatekeeper and will accept any payday fight that comes his way.

    Other example

Rocky Juarez - He was brought up nice and slowly but after the Soto loss, they threw him in with any payday fight as possible Barrerax2, JMM, and JohnX2 losing all of them (we all know John was robbed the 1st time).

You take any other journeyman in the same division and offer them these same kind of opportunities, and I promise you none of them will say no. But yet these guys get praised as guys who dont duck anyone when its really because they have nothing to lose. Its very rare you'll find a current champion getting praised for fighting everyone because they have not much to gain and everything to lose because eventually they can only fight such fights for so long until they lose.

Nah man... I only criticize fighters for what they do related to boxing...

Whatever a fighter does buisnesswise is none of our buisness.....

"Payday" fighters are fighters that have ZERO options, but the ones in the front of them...they get fights because of the "obstacle" they present.

Fighters who take on anyone...are guys with options, but still choose a path with great resistance. As opposed to getting the biggest cash cow.

Wow. Are you serious? What parallel universe to you get your boxing info from?

The contract with FMJ was ALREADY signed BEFORE Baldomir while Zab was the reigning champion. He still gave FMJ the best fight at WW to date!

Judah had a GREAT showing against FMJ, but showed vulnerabilities so would be a good measuring stick for a possible Cotto/Mayweather match-up. He was kicking Cotto's ass until Cotto threw MULTIPLE crotch shots. That crap got Judah suspended. Funny how Cotto got off.

Mosley and him were at the same level. Who was Mosley fighting? Mayorga? Vargas? Please! Mosley wasn't a draw untill he started chasing Mayweather.

Judah took those fights and was picked as an opponent because at that time he was a solid B+-A- fighter.
