I think he's a master boxer and enjoy most of his fights from a boxing point of view, but i don't like his childish behaviour, particularly after the Baldomir fight.
To be honest i dont hate him,but hes fighting a brit who i think is ok,though im not a huge fan,its also not like hes doing anything thats new is it,plenty of other boxers have acted like him before, its probaly all a big act.
I don't dislike him but do find him very boring and at times toe-curling. Probably just a pampered, underdeveloped human being from a dysfunctioinal family. doesn't matter awayway....what matters is the fight and he's gonna do a number on the overrated big-head Hatton.
You cant have the all of the above option as the last one says you dont have any problem with his 'personality'. To me floyd is so immature, insecure, unimaginative, unfunny, self centred and needlessly arrogant that i cant like the man...The mans public persona is not keeping it real.....He acts like a spoilt thirteen year old who knows nothing about life, sorry i just insulted half the general forum....:rasta
Mayweather would be a welcome addition here at ESB.He talks trash and would give VB 77 a run for his money.A truly ****ing *******,if ever there was one!
Just as some of you are. How fixated on a "man's" personality can some of you be?? This is like hating someone from a tv show and being consumed about it (as most of you are). Unless you know a person, what you're seeing is their persona. Sounds totally like jealousy and envy to me.
i don't like the version of him portrayed in the media and how much credit he seems to be getting from his fans for being one of the ATG's. In the media he comes off ass and arrogant ******* with little respect for other fighters past and present. He's really cocky, and very immature in his antics. All of which mean nothing in the ring, but his public persona is a jackass. His fans and some in the media are granting him ATG status already (and that may be justified) and are ranking far too high (especially those that consider him the greatest). Floyd is a gifted boxer for sure, but his lack of offense in fights but him behind many of the greats. His D is truly great and ring generalship is good to great but he's not the complete boxer that SRR, SRL, Duran etc. were. (that meaning his lack of offense and killer instinct) that's why i dislike floyd. Maybe after some time goes by i will dislike him less, but i still won't rank him as the greatest. I'll just be happy when i don't have to hear his fans rave about him anymore. On a side note, i got this from another forum and it isn't mine but i found it funny. "floyd has 15 gears. 14 of them are reverse and he only uses the other 1 when he being attacked from behind"
ya the first time i read it i was cracking up. I'm not sure where it came from originally but it sure wasn't mine. *though i wish it was*
Oh wow you sound like a bunch of 12 year old girls, what's next? A debate on who's the cutest boxer :fight
I mean he is the baddest man on the planet in his weight division. Of course hes going to be cocky and have a big head, wouldnt you? I think its great for boxing but I dont believe he has too much of a sense of humor. Alot of seriousness. All work and no play------
please. give me Miguel Cotto, Kelly Pavlik, and any other humble fighters out there who just go out and do their work (and actually BEAT *as in **** them up* their opponents) over Floyd and his big mouth and out to win a decision style, any day of the week.
