I have no problem with his behaviour. If you don't like the things he says or does, turn off your station.
Hard to support a family of women beaters.... Guess some think that's cool or street... to each his own...
He's just a ****. It's not a tall poppy thing, nor does it have anything to do with race. I especially dislike him always saying he's the GOAT, often disrespecting and belittling other great fighters and proven legends of the past. And he refuses to prove it in the ring. Has managed to avoid the toughest challenges since becoming mainstream. He is boxing's ultimate Prima Donna.
Who exactly is calling him the greatest of all time? Edit: Didn't realized this thread had been bumped. Was wondering since brooklyn1550 has been gone.
As a fighter i think he is an awesome talent and Im thinking that he will probably out box Pac. I dont like the way he brags about his money and says **** like mine is paid for is yours.Like who gives a **** floyd? He acts like some little teenage punk ass ***** who likes to brag, about **** no one cares about. He has to act his age. I think he should just be himself cause sometimes he comes off as pretty cool, but then he swithches up and starts acting like some ghetto punk ass like if hes trying to impress but doesnt realize that he is making himself look like an ass. One thing about him is he is a lot smarter than his Uncle and Dad
I usually don't judge a boxer by his personality, though it would make me deem you higher if you are a classy gentlemen outside of the ring. What I have against him is his business practice of denying deserving fighters and lack of legacy performances, given his true talents.
I don't particularly like his personality but thats not why I pay him attention. I am not the type of person that really buys into a sports person or entertainers personality because the public image is often a facade. I think a lot of the attitude he has that winds people up is a backlash to the scrutiny he is put under, it's as if he is held to higher standards than other fighters but doesn't receive as much credit which comes with the territory I suppose. I also thinks he plays up to it because it generates more money, a fight between two good guys doesn't generate the same excitement.
he is shallow and has no substance. the complete opposite in a sport where it is all about proving yourself. and instead of rising above the occasion, he smalls his opponent down to his level.
The last straw for me was when he came in overweight by 2 pounds against JMM. If he was fighting Cotto, or Paul williams, he may come in 5 pounds overweight, and I would not give a damn. But against a lightweight, who had struggled against a light hitting Juan Diaz at 135??? That just shows total disrespect to JMM, and the boxing fans in general. I simply can not believe that there are still a lot of people who defend that. Never mind that GBP had changed the contract the last minute prior to the fight, because that is another matter reserved for the fishnet loving, cross-dressing promoter, who should have protected JMM's interest and health and well-being instead of being blinded by the prospect of a mulit-fight promotional rights to one of the best fighters in the world (probably understable because GBP has very very thin stable talent wise - that they even signed Campbell).
