Why do YOU hate Andre Ward?

Andre Ward is one of my favorite fighters due to his technical brilliance and the fact that he has fought almost everyone that matters. He is dreadfully boring 70% of the time though.

wlad is also technical but boring as hell.

look. you can be athletic, technicly better than others and still entertain. last fight vs dawson had entertaining moments and it was a masterpiece.

but down the line crabbing, holding, punching without combinations or single punches or head butting just doesnt make me dream. when tyson or tito fought, guys who let it all go, who had a technical aspect but did offence with style, with force, with energy, that made me dream about boxing. they made people be fans about boxing.

 

if you hate andre ward you are a ******... his cleaned out his division and now people are crying about nobodies that he should fight. the hate he gets is about as brainless as the mayweather hate

Great fighter.

I think many English fans hate him because traditionally the Irish have been hated in England

 

I didn't use to like him. When he first entered the super 6 I was not impressed with him, Dirrel was faster, Abraham more powerful, Froch more entertaining and Kessler and Taylor more dynamic and aesthetically pleasing to watch.

The Son of God nick name was also stupid and the fact he was the only fighter in the super 6 who did not have to fight overseas seemed entirely unfair. He then beat Kessler who was my favourite super middleweight at the time.

But I have learned to appreciate Ward. He is better fighter now than when he beat Kessler and just looks a level above anyone else. While not exciting to watch he has superb skills and technique and I personally love watching master boxers like Ward do their thing.

 

Calzaghe didn't always fight in his home country of Wales.

He had world title fights twice in the USA, as well as in Germany, Denmark, Scotland and several times in England.

Ward had never had a title fight outside the USA.

 

I think you're going to be hard pushed to find many normal people who hate him. In most instances it's going to be people have certain gripes with him but as they say, one man's meat is another man's murder.
