team sports is good and all, but there's nothing like one-on-one action where it's just you and no one to back you up. nothing better than a good fight, and MMA just isn't the same... can't get into it like boxing

I relate to this, plus pride. Watching boxing, plus the pre-fight build up kind of reminds me of when I was at school when you have a run-in with someone and you sort it out with a fight after school, with a set time and place to see who can kick who's ass, with the winner walking away with their opponents respect and a whole lot of pride. Boxing is a bit like this but with amazing skills added to the mix. One mans pride against another with the loser sometimes being humiliated after talking so much **** pre-fight.

It is the most respectful combat sport.
A man gets knocked down, you allow him to get up, regain himself, and continue if possible.
Not for the impatient , violent chess ( I love it!!!):bbb

Im not sure why I like it but training and following it feels like im one of the few and part of a dying breed.

(BTW i dont think Boxing is dead its just a sport that attracts a certain type of people and hyper wannabe tough boys dressd in vans and tapout aint that type)

It represents the trials of life, about taking your lumps and getting back up, never giving up, the strength of wills, and about being gracious in both defeat and victory, just to name a few...But mostly, I just like watching two guys beat the crap out of eachother...

you sound like a spoilt little loser. "oh i know names of old fighters therefore i am boxing, i know everything there is to know and everyopne else is just a un educated novice". no!!!
what it tells me is uve got too much time on your hands. how can u expect young people to know all them old boxers. thats not what its about, you can learn the sport by knowing the current guys.
im 23 and a huge khan fan because im british. i know plenty enough about the sport and can have perfectly valid arguments with any old cogger. its all a matter of opinion theres nothing certain in boxing.
