Why do you think Canelo isn't better liked?

    it will be fun finding out who saw it right. i actually picked canelo to beat kovalev a year before they fough, back when it couldnt be done under any circumstance. i think hes better now, and has modified his style to fit bigger guys. makes me believe theyve been planning a takeover of 175 for a while. september showdown would be sweet.

    I can't wait!

    Hopefully it gets made! I like Beterbiev's silence on this - no trash talk, no profanities and just getting on with training and keeping himself in shape and being ready at all times.

    Beterbiev doesn't box for judges cards, therefore notable western boxers did not had enough real intent to fight vs him until he was not 36 y.o and a bit rusty, after rehab and covid. When he looked not that good in last fight, then lol, as had been predicted talks had been raised.

    I don't think that they wish Beterbiev fight more than Plant fight: if he will beat Plant, he will be an undisputed.
    Problem looks that Plant wish money they does not looks that wish to pay him. Maybe also not easy to put him on short training camp and clauses.
    If there will be a lot of talks that Canelo will move to 175 lbs, they might hope easier to lower $ they will offer to Plant for fight vs Canelo.

    Of course. While some ppl here are insisting that some mystical GGG fans are crying here, criticism about his career is in a lot of articles in websites and blogs, full internet and this is done by western ppl.

    Most funny was his fight vs blown up welterweight in Khan for MW title. they even had sanctioned this and for Canelo fans this was nothing wrong.
    So called Canelo cards had been discussed even before his fights vs GGG.

    How's he a cherry picker? He fought everybody. The guy went up and fought Kovalev, for chrissake.

    Some of the great WWs he fought were older, but what's he gonna do? He was like 22 when he fought them, when was he supposed to fight them, when he was 15?
