He's a strong beleiver in God, a christian it seems, and a very humble guy when he has serious interviews. I used to think it was like ALi, and to sell tickets, but honestly looking at guys like Tebow, Lin, Pac, and even guys like Ward... These guys are great athletes, respected by a lot of people, and somebody like Pac (who is from the Phillipines) makes almost as much money, and draws the same sort of numbers as Mayweather (an American) in the U.S. What is your guys take on him? Obviously the man has things he struggles with in life, but most of it seems like a huge act, but an act that he really doesn't need. I find his style sometimes boring, but I'd still watch him whether I'm rooting against him, or for him.
There are murderers, serial killers, ****** and scums in this world for you to worry about 1 fighter that is so talented that is making millions of dollars.
1. Being a heel for the means of promoting a fight 2. The Money persona is just that, a persona 3. Pac does not make nearly as much money but I can see him having a much brighter future than May when it's all said and done. A political figure 4. Every business needs a heel, it's what puts asses in seats. 5. You're not a true boxing fan if you find his style boring. Go watch Gay Men Brawling (UFC) if you're going to criticize The Sweet Science. 6. Tebow is an overhyped nutjob, Lin is also very overrated. 7. Gtfo

Part of it is to sell tickets, and part of it is because he's a hot-tempered, emotional guy to begin with.
What? This is a boxing forum, and although I talk in the general forum about things.... Aren't we suppose to be talking about boxing, and boxers in this forum? People talk about how much $ he's making off his fights, and none of us can discuss why he carries himself the way he does on 24/7? Think if I make a thread about rapists, killers, etc it might get deleted if I put it in the boxing section.... :-(
:rofl what? This is like me saying Floyd Mayweather isn't really a black man, and not listing why. Christianity is those that beleive in Christ. If Tebow didn't beleive in Christ so strongly would he really be willing to take the abuse from people, get such harsh criticism, and be willing to smile while people laugh at him? Of course he's beleoved to a lot of people (I personally like the guy), but don't think it'd be worth putting up with unless you really beleive in something... The man is a missionary (even before playing football) because he wanted to show christs love to people all over the world. ANd back to FLoyd Mayweather.....
