Fury might be many things but manufactured isn't one of them.

middling win, 42 year old man, beat him on gass to be fair not skill.

but to be fair, AJ, like Usyk and Nomas, is was still green.

I think everyone knows prime Wlad beats current Joshua, that's not even up for debate. Wlad years past his prime came within a whisker of KOing Joshua, prime Wlad had too much know how, too much athleticism for any version of Joshua we've seen.

Only fanboys will think any differently.

I used to think the same. He has an ugly style and did cherry pick his way to a title shot. But after he battered Chisora the 2nd time I came to realise he wasn't just some pretender. Never thought he'd beat Wlad but expected him to give Wlad real problems before his tendency to get sloppy would see his chin get cracked.

But I was wrong when Fury needs to be focused he knuckles down and fights to a set game plan when needed to. That sloppy Fury that gets dropped by Cunningham or Pajkic only pops his head up when he doesn't rate his opponent and fights an undisciplined fight.

His chin is definitely not made of the sturdiest material, it's one thing getting dropped by big punchers, even Holyfield and Ali hit the canvas against big punchers but guys not known for hitting hard dropping you suggests you better damn well protect that chin.

I suspect Fury won't be much of a factor now either. He didn't look good at all in his return, we've seen him come in heavy before but not looked that bad. But then again maybe he will prove us wrong, like he has before, but I suspect will be lucky to get back to 80% of what he was and that probably won't be enough to beat the top guys.

It was a good win, but mitigated by factors which should not be ignored, like age and inactivity. But that's not AJ's fault; he beat the Wlad who was in front of him and a highly-motivated version to boot. But wanting to your very best and being able to be are not the same thing...

Remember when the US was hyping Kovalev as a 'monster'?

He was the future P4P king.....No one could stop him!

Went 12 rounds with a 50 year old Hopkins lol.

The facts are very simple, if he beats Povetkin, Joshua will have the best resume in HW history after this limited number of fights.
I remember Finkel calling Wilder a 'prospect' after 30 fights......
Well Joshua is the greatest 'prospect' in HW history.

The Americans are mad because we could soon be discussing GOAT.......
    Brit Lewis or Brit Joshua?

What makes you think Joshua was prime vs Wlad? He was just a novice with only 18 fights under his belt. Was Wlad prime when he got blown out by Purrity in his 24th fight?

The heavy 250lbs Joshua that Wlad fought is not the best version of Joshua.

A more confidant and lighter Joshua may never have got hit with that right hand , and even if he did , no version of Wlad would ever go in with the type of attack needed to finish him off.

That Wlad was better than the heavy , inexperienced Joshua fighting on the big stage for the first time and he still lost.

If Wlad had any "know how " as you put it , he would have targeted the body early , but it was novice Joshua who was doing all the body work which paid off for him down the line.

All previous versions of Wlad were a timid serial hugger who spent way too much time in clinches to conserve his own energy and to sap the energy of his opponent.
He didn't use that tactic since he knew he'd be blown out by AJ on the inside , therefor no Wlad would ever survive or win using his jab and hold style.

So what you're saying is, Wlad was such a poor fighter AJ gets too much credit for beating him?

Body shots causing your opponent to gas isn't a skill?

He's saying that 24 fight Joshua is clearly superior to 24 fight Vlad.....
