Number and % of knock outs doesn't tell the story. Wlad was a great finisher pre MS, once he changed due to him stamina problems, he was less interested in going all out.

Going for a knock out leaves you more open than anything else. Wlad did give everything he was willing to give rounds 6 thru 9, in previous rounds 5 he went all out for the ko. AJ surviving that vicious onslaught was the story.

The twisting of history, reality and facts by fans is kind boggling

    My bad. I misread it.

His record is definitely bare bones.

one thing you cant say about wlad was that couldnt finish. His early game was built around being able to finish a faltering opponent well with his 250 lbs of still tankful bulk.

It simply is what it is. Wlad was 41, coming off an almost two year layoff, and wasn't even competitive in his last fight with Fury, so Joshua can't be given much credit for that win, but I also don't give Tyson any credit for beating Holmes and Spinks. Holmes was coming off two back to back losses and out of retirement after two years and Spinks was coming off a one year layoff and had two shot knees.

I look at it as a great send off and last big payday to Wlad, who earned it and a good learning experience and big payday for the young and inexperienced Joshua. Joshua is still young and has the rest of his career to prove how good he is.

You might be right but the thing is Wlad was PAST prime Johua was YET to enter his.

So you had an inexperienced novice vs a Faded ATG.

It was fairly well matched, Wlad was a bit past his best and Joshua wasnt quite at his best yet.

I think that showed in the ring and at the end of the day it was a fun fight and a credit to both.

Great post, I fully agree with every character used.. And I'm one of the few that give birth AJ and DW huge amounts of credits, especially once taken into account both these beasts are using their 6'6" and 6'7" bodies to their fullest potential. These greats are BOTH working endlessly of building HOF careers and they started as Friggin teenagers

    You're asking the wrong question.

Joshua doesn't consistently fight at home with the odd fight overseas, he ONLY fights at home, irrespective if it makes better financial sense to fight elsewhere.

Why don't you tell me of an elite British fighter that never travelled?

Wow, you're really intimidated by a guy who posts on a forum?

I've dealt with you 3 times now, and every single time you've offered an opinion in an argument, against my facts.

The German media, who have followed Wlad's whole career, claimed Wlad was as good as he had ever been against Joshua and was in as best shape as possible.

As for your comments about 'padding' my likes, do you have proof?
Go back and check, they're all legit....

No surprise you're dealing in pure opinion again tho.
Makes you easy target to fall for Wilder's BS, rather than the undisputable facts.

People clearly missed the left hook after left hook which Wlad landed, which Joshua somehow took whilst out on his feet.

That was the moment Joshua proves he's got a good chin and good stamina.
Him gassing was a result of him being so active for a man his size.....But he had the foresight to target Wlad's body.

He's shown something different every fight to suggest he's always learning.
Whilst Wilder still has serious balance issues we saw 20 fights ago.
