Or Wilder would have been stopped just like how he was nearly stopped against Ortiz who isn’t a very good fighter.

Agreed on the last part. Fury has terrible genes. When he was 19 he looked 33.

I don't know about old men. But just keep David Price out of the bodybuilders sparring group. The last thing we want to see is he a badly concussed Joshua taking on another morbidly obese behemoth.

AJ was ugly as hell before he took steroids and grew a beard. His head looked like a knee cap. Tyson lost his hair early, it happens.

Or maybe it was because Aj grew ? Isnt there more evidence that Fury was on PEDs ? Wait aren't you the same guy that wants Floyd to come out of retirement and fight canelo ?

In the words of Wladimir Grabilov Klitschko:
''Age is just a number. Let's go for a nude sauna.''
Of course, that was before he lost to Joshua due to his age. He then pulled out of the rematch because the fire wasn't there anymore (due to his age and loss of mental/physical confidence) and retired (because he was old).
    I guess age isn't just a number.

With Joshua, I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Pulev, Povetkin and Wlad were quality fighters and that's why they were still top opponents around 40 and so ended up being legit fights under the circumstances. But at the same time, Hearn-J were over the moon fighting old guys with 'brand' names and definitely spun the Wlad/Povetkin fights as though Joshua was fighting these guys in their top form. That was total spin. And it does seem that they happily fought Povetkin/Pulev(first time especially) over Wilder and possibly other younger fighters.

Everyone is forgetting that before Mr Humble lost to Ruiz, he was going around being a diva in negotiations and wouldn't accept half splits with Fury/Wilder. He would rather fight post prime names so his fans could pretend he would actually beat the Povetkin Wlad did.

    lifestyle plays it's role too.
anyone on here who's around my age + could shave a good few years off their appearance if they lived a day in my shoes for a year.

Funny you say that but old 40 year old povetkin beat Whyte, the same whyte who gave joshua trouble, beat Parker and Rivas. If i remember correctly Wilder was ducking Whyte and Fury avoided him too for some odd reason. Yes Ajs opponents are past it but even then they're still top contenders. Remember Pulev would be Wilders what ? Second best if not his best win, and would be Fury's third. Wilder ducked Joshua. We've known this

AJ went from like 220lbs to 255lbs without adding an ounce of fat.

He's dead set on PED's, he wasn't allowed them for the Ruiz fight in the US and had to cycle off early and he became weak as a kitten

    Through no choice maybe?

    Klitschko 41 - IBF/WBA Unification
    Takam 40 - a 7 day substitute
    Pulev 40 - IBF mandatory
    Povetkin 40 - WBA mandatory

    Hardly cherry picks

    Pulev was 39.

If about fight vs Pulev A.J might had choosed to fight his WBO mandatory in Usyk. :)
Fight sales with Usyk instead of Pulev on card definitely had been better. Usyk is more well known in europe than Pulev.
