N'Gannou didn't beat Fury. Not on the cards or in real life.

Fury was a beaten man in the ring that night. He knows what's up.

Team Fury left that ring sharpish, leaving the real winner to celebrate with the real Tyson :campeon:

I'm not sure you understand how rankings work when using that logic.
Fury is still rated at number 1 and his last win was a fighter who hadn't boxed professionally before
    Your logic
This is where you are getting confused again
He wasn't on a layoff. He was due to fight Fury, but Fury withdrew, then I believe Fury withdrew again, so he wasn't inactive or retired, he had been in training camps
    Slice what?
    He wasn't on a layoff
What evidence was there of ring rust?

Let's forget that Wladimir was rated at number 1 and tell me, who do you think he should have fought instead?
    Who was out there?
Tell me how else he would have won the next title belt at that time when that belt was available
    Please enlighten me

You're really delving deep into semantics now. He was out of the ring for 18 months, and because he trained for a couple weeks for a cancelled fight, its not a layoff? He has no ring rust? Is he not really 41 years old too while you're at it? I don't exactly remember the heavyweight rankings in 2017 but I can assure you beating Bryant Jennings in 2015 probably shouldn't count for a lot. If beating Bryant Jennings in 2015 makes you number 1 in 2017 then I call your ranking system bogus and rightfully so.

    No I'm not
I'm giving you facts. It is you who tried to twist them
Was it only a couple of weeks?
I seem to recall there was two training camps, press conference and face offs which indicates he wasn't on a lay off

    Tell me
A title boxing match is 45 minutes on one night
The training camp is often weeks
Do you think if a fight is cancelled a couple of weeks before that it is a layoff for the boxer?
    Really
Once again do try and answer as you keep ducking the questions
    You tell me
You're the one that made that statement that you can't seem to back up
You explain the ring rust you claim to know of
    ??
Seems you are trying to change the angle and debate something else
    Where have I indicated he wasn't 41?
Once again, do show me where I have said that
    it's not my ranking system
Not sure why you would think I control The Ring mag rankings
I do agree that I often don't always agree with them but that would only be my opinion and not a fact
    Look at the rankings now
They have Fury at number 1 and his last win was over a fighter with no pro fights so I don't know how that would fair in their rankings system
His last win over a rated boxer was over Chisora in 2022 who was 1-0-3 in his last 4 fights
Do you think that having Fury at #1 is incorrect?
I would say it is debatable but what I don't think you understand is that the rankings are often made up of collective fights and wins and not just the last one

That was a really low quality post. Just a heads up you are now on my ignore list. Somebody else can follow up if they think I missed something. But I will never talk to this idiot again.

This is what happens when someone gets owned in a debate
They duck questions and then run

This is more a damning indictment of modern HW division.
Fact is, guys with even a little skill can stay Top 10 for a very long time. Guys on that lost have been Top 10 for over a decade in most cases.
It's the fact modern HWs are so unskilled, guys who have a bit of skill a way ahead of them. It's almost absurd guys like Pov were schooling guys much younger.

Don't blame that on AJ. The younger guys at the time were genrally not good enough or busy fighting each other (like Fury).
