Why does Amir Khan and his team wanted Tim Bradley so bad?

I thought it was Shaw. Shaw threw in the stipulation that Bradley would have to extend his contract for at least two more fights if Shaw could make this deal. Whether it's true I don't blame Bradley for sitting out his soon to expire Shaw contract. I bet Bradley ends up with Top Rank to fight Balcquiao.

To answer the question - they wan´t to find out who´s the champ in this division and give boxing fans the best fight in division that can currently be made.
Thank you Team Khan and hope that Bradley´s side agrees (I don´t care if there´s one tune-up for Bradley in order to him to cash out the current tv- contract, as long as this Khan - Bradley will happen in near future).
I really don´t think that Bradley is ducking Khan at all, it´s all about the money.

That's an offer he can't refuse. BoxKing will have a point if he refuses that.

No-one is saying Bradley is scared of Khan, you seem to pull the blinkers down as soon as Khan's name is mentioned, i.e. Khan is a chinless, heartless, one-dimensional, cheap, arrogant ***** and one legged ducks swin in circles and so there...... The views on Khan on ESB are so polarised, he's either scum of the earth or for some, actually I don't think really anyone here on ESB has claimed Khan is the second coming of SRL. Not even Laz, he does admit Amir's flaws and the closer the Maidana fight I think picked against him.

Anyway, facts are Bradley is guaranteed $1.2million by HBO in his next fight, he gets paid whatever so why does it have to be against Khan who he does recognize as a tougher fight than against an opponent ranked outside the top 5 in the division. You are right, it is all about money.......RISK vrs REWARD:deal

Khan wants glory and wants to unify the division and that means taking on Bradley.

Bradley wants money. Wants to do good business and make the most money and knows what he needs to do now to make certain connections further down the line. And these things fall apart if Khan takes his belts and 0 loss record off him now.

Its a shame that there are so many boxers and promoters out there forgetting that this is a SPORT 1st and business 2nd.

Khan has high ambitions and wants to be the man at 140. Bradley probably just wants to land a fight with Pac or Money to pick up a paycheck and hopefully last the distance in a boring fight

Also Bradley is scared to death of King Khan.

It's about none of that, and I was responding to these.

I've just learnt that news, isn't it fresh? I'm just gonna go back and edit that post so I don't have a load of people quoting it and saying WELL WHAT ABOUT THIS. I ****ing know.

    Well put.

And I'm going to say this again, because I still see people on here and elsewhere blaming Khan for this fight not happening. If the situations were reversed and it was Khan who was holding out, then the abuse would be at ridiculous levels. But because it's Bradley doing it, it's cool because he's being smart.

Sorry mate, I've only just noticed your post above. But the news isn't that fresh. It's been known for weeks that the Khan-Bradley fight was 50/50, and that the problem was on Bradley's side (him and Shaw) in how the money was being distributed. This had nothing to do with Khan. They did their bit, and HBO and Shaw were happy with their very reasonable terms. It was just Bradley. He's been the problem all along.

Ah right, cheers. Figured it was down to Bradley not getting a decent wage like some of Khan's potential opponents have argued about, didn't know about the Shaw/Bradley stuff.

  14. I heard people saying that it's because Bradley is the number 1 in the division and Khan wants to be number 1. Also somebody said that Bradley has the WBC and WBO titles and that Khan wants to unify the belts. All that can't be right can it :huh It's confusing this boxing malarkey.
