We'll have to rewatch the shots in slow motion with Dirrell but I have serious doubts about them being low in their fight...

To be fair a couple went low but some that he complained about were okay.

You see, that's a good remark...AA was 'faking' and completely helpless, waiting for help..while the other guy was launching to decapitate him...

Does this remind of s different situation a few rounds later? I'm sure you didn't want the other guy KTFO'd.

    Talking about double standards.

Yeap, I'm sure at least two were too low (one caught by the ref) but that's what going if you have your elbows at your stomach - the body punch simply slips down...

Nevertheless, there were low blows and it's obviously painful for anyone. Why wouldn't he complain?

I was glad when Abraham turned to complain and Dirrell rushed him.

I hope this shuts him up a bit.

Normally you're pretty fair and objective in your asessments. However, you definitely seem way off the mark and quite biased in th is situation. AA's trunks are definitely not "very low"...in fact id venture to say he wears them fairly high. Look at the same picture you made the comment about that not being a low blow to a hometown ref ,amongst other pics from the fight and look where his trunks are at. Thats considered very low to you? You must wear your pants up to your nipples.

It works in Germany and saved his belts from Miranda.

one of the reasons i'm glad AA KO'd Dirrell and made him cry like a *****. AA was fouled repeatedly and commits 1 foul himself and is DQ'd. Pathetic.

lol Dirrell tries to hit AA when his back is turned after he gets cracked in the balls and you have no problem. AA hits Dirrell when he's flopping all over the ring like ususal and it's an outrage.

You ask this question when we clearly saw him sparring with Ottke.

It's the way things are done!!!

As much as I don't like Dirrell the DQ was justified. Your post just stinks of rose tinted specs. A few low blows does not equate to a puch when the guy is defensless and on the floor. That said I'm not convinced it was intentional but still it does warrant a DQ.

His trunks are much lower so it's deceptive.

I have no problem with guys faking low blows. It's kind of cheap, but it can be effective. It can be costly as well. Abraham tried to fake one low blow, the ref ignored him, and Dirrell went after him. In any sport, guys are going to just about whatever it takes to get an edge.

Just to be clear. My post was in response to that Dirrell fan who said "i wish Dirrell had of KO'd AA" refering to when Dirrell tried to take AA's head off when his back was turned, after a low blow.

Hitting a guy in the balls then when his back is turned trying to decapitate him vs hitting a guy after he slips when the ref hasn't yelled stop yet are the same in my opinion. Poor sportsmanship but not illegal.

I was trying to illustrate the hypocrisy of that posters opinion. Dirrell tried to hit a guy when his back is turned, no problem. AA hits a guy who slips, DQ and ban him for life. I'm also sure he had no problem with Ward's half a dozen headbutts.

In fairness to Abraham, he gets hit low quite a bit due to the way he holds his guard.

But he also does complain about shots that are borderline or even clean.

I'd have preferred Dirrell not go after him like that, but in fairness to Andre, Abraham had complained about a couple of clean body shots.
