I wrote this about Bellew in June last year, got a lot of abuse from Bellew fans. Bellew - Hype OR Hope? http://murmuringsofaboxingmad-man.blogspot.co.uk/2013/06/bellew-hype-or-hope.html
Bellew is a mug who needs to shut the feck up for a while and get some good wins under his belt before he starts mouthing off again. After his embarassing performance against Stevenson, you would have thought he learnt his lesson...as someone said he's all bark and no bite.
Just the usual big talk from Bellew. He had the chance to give Cleverly a 'good hiding', in his own home town nonetheless and wasn't able to. World class mouth that very rarely backs anything up with action in the ring.
Bellew doing what he does best, gobbing off. He's a mouthpiece that gets found out when stepped up. He'll get brutally stopped (again) when put in with a world class cruiser with power.
Both have been exposed more so Bellew who fought scared against Adonis at least Nathan went out on his shield
It seems that Stevenson didn't hit him hard enough Hope he gets a fight against Huck. The captain should beat some sense into him
I think if I was in his position,Id be a bit Peed off if one of my rivals got a vacant "world" title fight at home against somebody who didn't deserve it.I know it was in Liverpool but I made Bellew a slight points winner when the two fought, and was absolutely amazed when he didn't go bananas at the decision.Which is one reason why I don't think its real hate. They just don't like each other at the moment,Id say.Couldnt say either has the better resume, although the South African is probably better than anybody Nathan has beat.I also can't separate Kovalev and Stevenson. The hate between the 2 will last until they fight again or Cleverly packs it in for good, then they'll at least be cordial.
Bellew will never progress beyond European level in my opinion. He may end up being as good as he was at light heavy, but he is more likely to do worse than better.
I only watched the first fight but Bellew definatley lost that and the majority of people would agree.
