Another day, another video of Frank Smith talking about Ben Shalom. I really don't get it, he likes to tell the world how irrelevant Boxxer are, Ben doesn't know what he is doing etc. The reality is, if somethings meaningless in your life you don't even bother to think about it let alone talk about it....., yet all we hear Frank talk about is Ben. Relax Frank, concentrate on making fights and don't lose anymore hair worrying about Ben, that forehead gets bigger every week!
Eddie has given Frank the task of going at Shalom It's all true what he's saying though. Shalom is completely out of his depth. He doesn't know what the **** he's doing
If one of your competitors is that bad why not just let him fail on his own instead of going on about all the time though?
Probably because they know the power of Sky and would rather put Boxxer under more pressure now to see if they crumble forcing Sky out of boxing. No VADA testing suggests that the Sky have reduced the budget for Boxxer shows this year. I don't think Shalom has done a terrible job but some of his decisions have been bizarre and he has had a poor year so far.
I just can't get the image outside of my head of Shalom sitting there, ringside in his casual wear between two birds. What.a.plonker.
Yeah I agree. Shalom hardly says anything about these two Matchroom berks, Hearn and Smith yet they respond disproportionately to what Shalom says. Thry respond with unnecessary venom. Hope they get put in place real soon.
Power of sky? Do they even have any power now someone else has acquired the Saudi football league rites. As a cpuple of you mates on here like to tell us all, apparently almost nobody watches sky anymore. Who cares about Premier league, championship, international cricket, top level domestic cricket,F1 etc..........(the list goes on and on) I was down the pub last week, tried to start a conversation about the Liverpool match, no one even knew it was on, all anybody was talking about was the Sunny Edwards fight and Saudi football.

Matchroom seem like a totally different entity these days. When they were with Sky and had all the UK talent with no real competition, they seemed professional, positive and a breath of fresh air. The last year or so they come across as petty, defensive, conniving and constantly looking to stir up conflict with their rivals. I'm not going to argue whether or not they are the number one promoters in the country or not, but you can tell they have much more competition and they really don't like it. Hearns job is to go after Queensbury as they are the biggest threat, Smith's job is to go after Boxxer, it's so obvious.

Pretty much, and their fights aren't generating the audience they hoped for, so as promoters they have to constantly cause conflict to get people interested and stay relevant.
