Why does Bika go out of his way to fight a hard, dangerous opponent like Andrade?

I wonder if Yusef Mack thinks hes dangerous.

Good scrap and one that I thought would of eventually happened. I see Bika taking a hard fought, scrapy sd. Both men will be cut up something bad and probably have to take a knee or two. Entertaining fight i'd imagine. I just see Bika's big time experience being the deciding factor. Neither man is greatly skilled but Bika is a little more refined, I believe.

On another note, I would imagine Bute is hoping for Andrade to get an impressive win as that would lead to a nice respectable payday/opponent to make up for the Joppy fiasco. If Bika grinds out a win over LA, where does Bute turn to next? He can't really go back to Bika and he certainly can't think about fighting someone who's just lost to Bika, surely?

Maybe Bute will give him a rematch if that's the case. Bika i'm sure would readily take the fight. I just feel that (although he'd by no means be the first fighter to do it) would be wasting his time with another Bika fight. Essentially it would be another stay busy fight and what Bute needs now, is progress. He's fought Bika already. Then again, if push comes to shove and there is literally no other decent opponent available, then we can't complain too much with Bika. We'll just have to wait and see who comes out on top with the LA-SB fight.

 

Other - because Andrade is the most overrated fighter in his weight class, and he knows it. Andrade is just Donnie McCrary with a chin. Bika will get a lot of credit and a decent payday out of it, while fighting someone who doesn't pose much of a threat to actually beat him.

Yeah it's a toughy alright. Inkin v Froch/ Possibly Miranda v Pascal/ Mundine v Taxi Driver/ Kessler unknown and not wanted just yet .

That leaves Green/Hanshaw/Lacy and winner of Bika/Andrade. Not a lot of options really:-(

I have nothing against Mexican fighters. There's a ton of Mexican fighters out there. I assure you that any criticism I have of any fighter who happens to be Mexican has nothing to do with their nationality.

 

Maybe because he knew Sugar Ray would offer him six figures to "not" fight someone like him.:hey

 

either way Andrade will beat Bika

 

People quickly forget that Bika did just as well against Calzaghe as Kessler did, and Kessler destroyed Andrade. Yusef Mack was well on his way to destroying Andrade before he got caught with his weak ass chin sticking out there.

Because he's so awkward, Bika probably won't be able to dominate, but he should be able to pull out a pretty easy win. Andrade is a machine. He never changes up what he does, so he's easy to hit and easy to avoid. Bika has a decent enough chin and good stamina and a little bit of boxing skills - that's all anyone needs to beat Andrade. I'd be willing to make an avatar bet on this one. I'm pretty confident that Bika would win.

As for a different easy money fight for Bute to take, what about Manfredo? He's probably a bigger draw and an easier scalp than Andrade anyway.

 

I'm picking Bika here as well. Both are unskilled IMO but Bika has more.
