What percentage does Arum take from his fighters? Curious, since you must know details.

Arum is doing his job as a promoter, which is to get HIS fighters paid along with himself. The fact that this is a thread shows that he's the best promoter doing it at the moment. Nobody signs & develops talent like Top Rank. If someone such as a Tall Williams was on Top Rank, surely Arum would find some way to get him over. For years, he desperately tried to convince the public that Margarito was the most avoided man in boxing until Margarito eventually became a name & developed a fanbase.

It's called return of investment. As what King once said: "Boxers were not born big. Boxers need someone to make them big." Promoters invested their money on fighters and not all fighters make good money for them. Promoters are businessmen first and foremost. You can't really argue that without promoters like Arum, guys like Pac won't reach this big.

Ask any company why they want to keep making more profit

Anyway, these in-house Top Rank fights have only become more prevalent after those *******s at GBP started defaming their number 1 fighter and the consequent lawsuit filed by Manny. GBP are doing the same. It all stemmed from Mayweather's baseless accusations. Good for the sport my ass.

I don't blame Arum for not wanting to give those douchebags any more than what they are already getting off Manny. He can make as much with the inhouse fights, as he can against any GBP fighter or any other promotion's..

But he is a businessman, and credit to him he has put his personal differences aside in trying to make the Mayweather fight, which will bring in the most money.
