He's one lucky sob, since Arreola I've not seen a guy get so many chances at a title shot. He lost to Degale in his own backyard for the IBF, next fight got a gift draw against Jack for the WBC, gets popped for testing dirty for the jack fight and still manages to land a LHW title eliminator. Damn talk about having nine lives.

All I'm saying is Alvarez better prepare to either knock Bute out or be robbed because it seems like there fixing to have a big Canadian showdown between Bute and Stevenson and he's standing in the way.

You can't compare it to Arreola luck, because Arreola never was a beltholder in the past, and certainly not a highly rated one with many succesful defences.
But yes, he gets a lot of undeserved chances too. He's more like a past it Don King fighter, in the 90's and early 00's...

Yeah Bute held a belt but let's be honest he the moment he fought a real high level opponent in Froch he got smoked. With that being said Arreola is just awful, couldn't even beat Travis Kauffman.

I don't know why they keep recycling these guys I wouldn't go to see Bute vs Alvarez if the tickets were cheap its a crap fight.

Amir is entertaining fights at least because he's so vunerable, Bute is decent enough to hold his own its just he's not interesting to me at all.

These title holders that only fight in there backyards (excluding US and UK) tend to be frauds the moment you take them out of the country like Sturm, Bute, Abraham etc.

That's cool if he gets random fights but how does he get a title eliminator coming off a loss, a draw and a positive test lool

Why are these guys excluded? Some of them get whooped when finally daring to fight beyond their borders.
Don't forget B-Hop's words "that's why I don't fight in Europe!" when RJJ got KTFO in Australia. He himself went 2-0-2 (getting a gift draw in France) outside the US. Jones 4-3 while getting one gift win himself.

Some fighters are fortunate to get more than one opportunity.
I used to think Wayne Mccullough was fortunate with the many title chances he had.
He was a BW champ who went up to challenge for a -
SBW title against Zaragoza, after 2 fights after has a shot at -
FW champ Hamed, after 1 fight after gets a shot back at -
SBW against champ Morales, has 3 fights and then challenges -
FW champ Harrison, has 1 fight and gets a shot at -
SBW champ Larios then gets another shot at -
    SBW champ Larios straight after
