Well, maybe I need to go back and dig up my source. Its possible I misheard, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt and verify it. Ward was saying pre-fight that Canelo looked terrible at weigh-in. Its not Floyds fault Canelo signed the fight and couldnt make the weight.. but I really do think Canelo needs to move to 160 soon, for his career and his health.
Are all fighters who fight at catchweights where they have to weigh in less than their previous fight "corpses?" Or just when they fit your arguments or preferences? He shouldn't have signed the contract then...
he just needs to take it old school and stick w running, sprints, jump ropes, calisthenics, bag work and sparring!!! he did look good against angulo, against mayweather i think he was drained and feared punching himself out. he has beefed himself up to the point that i think they are preparing him for 160.
The context of this thread is not Canelo/Floyd. Its analysis of Canelo. Yeah he should not have signed contract.. hubris of youth, he probably thought he could pull it off. Oh well. It doesnt change the fact that he has obviously outgrown 154.
You're so incredibly stupid. Proven bad? Show the proof. How does increased stiffness affect speed negatively? Increased stiffness is shown to enhance speed, which is why heavy weight training is such a large part of sprinters training. And how slow are those olympic weightlifters...
Canelo throws power punches constantly, same as David Haye. That's why they look gassed occasionally, but that's inevitable with high intensity. You punch like Calzaghe and you can go 100 rounds.
Because he's carrying too much bodyweight. He's built like a tank, he's larger than taller. And he has too much muscle masses. Even tough, in the arms and the shoulders , for example, his muscle masses are exactly the same of Floyd Mayweather, for example. But he has a giant head, a taurine neck, and very large hips and waist with truncks legs.
If that is indeed true it puts an asterisk next to that win, but ultimately he still gets credit because Canelo was dumb enough to sign the contract.
Yeah. He woulda gassed in the Mayweather fight if he did anything. And you're right about Angulo i think.
