they don't bulk up or lift weights "usually" because it in no way, shape, or form helps your punching power just makes you stronger in clinches, and yes they want tone muscles with stamina, speed is more important in the first place and power is a natural born thing. Lacy was too bulked up, Cotto looked in ideal fighting shape actually. Until Ward loses in 8-13 years it's not broke.
Every time I decide to take a look at this forum, I lose a bit of faith in humanity. Here a 160 lb man gasses because has too much muscle. I'm done for the day.
clowns, he doesnt gas at all. show me ONE fight in the last 3/4 years where he "gassed" most of you cant see anything in the ring yet you can see someone literally gassing. ahh ok. someone that gasses (that were top fighters) are JT and raf marquez...
He is gassing because he is not in his weight class, and because of his body type. Guys like him mature early and get really, really muscular at young age - he is now paying the price, since muscles require a lot of oxygen to function while fat is perfectly fine with leftovers.
He's right, he has too much muscle and doesn't pace himself properly. He should be fighting at 160 but his stamina will still suck there also.
