Why does Canelo get credit for fighting GGG even though he clearly ducked him in 2016?

    I disagree, he hit his prime in the Cotto fight and he isn't getting any better than that. This notion that boxers are constantly improving is silly imo. Everyone reaches a plateau.

    Think of a boxer's career as a mountain. You're on the upside of your prime or on the down side of your prime. Your peak is significantly small/short, it can be one, two, maybe three years. You're prime depends on many factor including how you take care of your body in-between fights and the amount of punishment you absorb.

    I think Canelo is on the upside, with a good two or three years before going down.
