Yes he did! he won at best 2 rounds and he didnt Kayo Margarito his Puerto Rican Dr stopped the fight as soon as he gassed out again. he was saved!
Cotto might be more favorable among hardcore fans, but he isn't bringing in the show for casual fans. The demand for another fight has been brought up by TR since the first fight. Hardcore fans haven't started wanting it until Cotto looked rejuvenated at 154. I feel it would be a meaningless victory and fight at any weight. It has no standing at 147 or 154, you can't rank them after the fights as they haven't been active enough in each others divisions. If Pac wins at 150 people will say Cotto was drained, if Cotto wins at 154 people will say Pac was too small. How is that interesting? Time for these two fighters to go their seperate ways.
Like I said if thats the case Why you hear Current/Former Fighters, every experts analyst and commentator's,explaining how much 1 pound on or off help's or hurt a fighter...??? IF pac already beat him to a Pulp Why Drain him again???? See what u dude's dont under stand is that while Pac can go with his Normal routine and Make the Weight Easy Cotto would be at a Disadvantage thru his whole camp Because instead of Sparing and doing normal Training Camp stuff he have to do a Whole set of other things every Day in Camp to drain his Body to make weight!!!! And you Fan boys are ok with this ****???? And Stop with this manny is Smaller bull**** you mofo's act like dude is a ****ing Midget dude is around 5'6 what is the Avg Height at WW amd Middle Weight?? around 5'9... come on Mofo's that **** is a Farce
Cotto's style is made for Pac. Pac will KTFO him again. Fans on this board are delusional and revisionist. Fighters seem to get elite after being able to survive in a ring. Cotto fans forget Pac DOMINATED in both technical and power. Only way Cotto has a chance if Pac agrees to real testing. That **** will never happen.
good for cotto. he should be fighting on an even playing field and not yield to what the congroidsman wants.
Dont call me a ****ing fan boy, I aint no *******, in fact if you were here back then I was supporting a cotto victory and even after Cotto quit here which he did, he stated the weight wasnt a problem
Dude u are a fan boy!!! you sitting there making every excuse as to why manny shouldn't fight Cotto at 154.... If you were a Fan of Just the Sport of Boxing in General you would know that what manny is Roach are doing is bull****!! its harder for a Bigger guy to lose weight and still be strong than the "smaller" one to gain weight or stay at his Normal weight and be Weaker!!! you understand now??? this is the reason for the Catch-weight bull**** Freddy knows this.... While manny train and Do his Normal Camp Cotto will be forced to Do way more extra **** to make weight..and Probably wont eat on the day of the fight to stay at that weight.. how is that cool or Healthy for the sport?? Like I said he can Force David Haye to fight him at 150 for the heavyweight belts and u fools will say 'manny is the smaller guy,he didn't have any advantage".... That **** to me is crazy!!!
I am not making excuses for the fight not to take place at 154, I am simply saying Cotto does not have a title, Manny has never stepped one the scales above 151, so if Cotto wants a shot at one of boxings biggest there are terms that come with that cus in reality Manny is maxed at 147. So meeting in the middle is not a bad thing... or do you expect Cotto to have a significant weight advantage fighting a blown up 140 pounder? you see thats the funny **** with you ladyboys you argue one thing but in turn are basically supporting a different method of having an advantage
Not to mention Cotto wanted to fight Margo at 150 the same weight that apparently was proposed by Pac,in the end of the day he didnt want to fight Pac again cause he knew he would get his ass kicked again and it would be his second loss in a row leaving him in a very bad position future wise.
No, but he wanted it at 150. http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/6921196/miguel-cotto-wrangles-catchweight-antonio-margarito
