I wish Ward was more active but hes done nothing to hurt boxing at all. man cleaned out 168, had problems with his promoter (Mikey Garcia still no where to be found in his prime like Ward), got a new deal and could be undisputed LHW king by end of next year! Thats my boy!!! :bbb:bbb
Ward didn't clean out 168. He had the chance and he talked his way out of that fight. He watched his chance to completely clean out the division and career high payday travel to the UK and get pink sock'd by Carl Froch.
I can just vision Ward trying to get inside Kovalev. He will do exactly what he did with Kessler. Same game plan. Lunge inward and clinch.
Well he does have one fight lined up between Kovalev and Brand. I suppose that one could be a real LHW. :conf
If I was fighting Andre Ward and he kept clinching I wouldn't wait for the referee to call a break, I would push him off or toss hi sideways. That might deter Ward from doing it. Andre Ward is a very predictable fighter. He pretty much fights each guy the same way. He didn't clinch much with Paul Smith because that was like having a fat heavy bag with legs in the ring.
Before the Super6 final, Ward and Froch both said the winner should fight Bute and completely clean out the division. Ward changed his tune in the post fight interview after the S6 final so Bute fought Froch instead and got smashed. Bye bye payday for Ward. Ward then chose to fight the LHW champ...at SMW:rofl Complete bonehead. Go ahead and deny this and let everyone know how stupid you are.
I don't understand these naggers too .. why would they still support Ward? These guys were always nagging about inactivity, bad opponents or whatever and suddenly when Floyd is retired and no one left whom they could support, they go back to this guy who is inactivity and fights bad opponents, who are not even Top 50. Damn he was even rejected for his opposition. :rofl
Those who DKSAB whine about Ward clinching while ignoring the excellent body work, short hooks and uppercuts he is landing on his opponent.
