Lineal title reign go highly unnoticed?

Is it mostly because he couldn't wrangle Jones Jr. In the ring over a 6 YEAR period, therefore couldn't get that huge name on his resumé?

Because he never became a household name even within the small confines of boxing. If fight fans have no exposure to someone how are they going to know anything about him?

So lineal means nothing. At least to casuals.
So you admit Jones ducked him, while Dariusz slayed of Roy's future opponents

He did get noticed in Europe, but at the time the biggest audiences were in the US. You can't compare it with nowadays where they go berserk for getting a mere 4m+ viewers, and act like it's the greatest event in history.
Back then boxing was big in the US, and you needed US exposure to become big.

Virgil Hill was inducted into HOF before him! Dariusz should be inducted. I have no clue why RJJ didn't even fight him.

The reason was because DM fought all but 2 fights out of Germany and was never going to leave his comfort zone and go to the US to fight Jones and Jones certainly would never go to Germany to be the B side and risk getting stiffed by the judges when in those days it was unheard of to go there and come away with a decision.

    Why didn't DM fight Jones?
People always ask the question from Jones perspective, but no one ever seems to point to any evidence that DM had any great interest in fighting Jones.

I remember seeing a photo of Dariusz with a custom-made T-Shirt "Who the hell is Roy Jones Jr.?" -- a play of him being sick of being asked when he will fight Jones. Jones didn't want to.

Jones ain't got a passport, he just got one recently when he migrate to Russia.
Anyway I don't blame Jones, he is a superstar, Darius should have fly over to the U.S.

His promoter was said to reach out numerous times to Jones handlers to get the right done. Jones response was allegedly always (remember, this is Dariusz biased side of the story) that Michaelczewski was not a big name in the US and therefore not a draw, so Jones could afford to fight any other opponent, pay them a lower purse and still make the same ratings and purse money.

    said by who?

why did you phrase it like that, as if removing yourself from the statement.

This is the most ludicrous and preposterous excuse among the ones I always listen to justify Roy's low will to travel to Germany. Getting stiffed by judges? With the exception of the first Rocchigiani fight (when he basically behaved in a cynical way in order to get the DQ win), Dariusz never received a gift in his bouts, nor he was part of something controversial; heck, let's imagine a scenario in which Jones got robbed of a deserved triumph...would it have been that big of a deal? At the end of the day, real boxing fans would have recognized him as the true winner and that's what truly counts, as demonstrated by the recent Kovalev-Ward situation. I mean, thousands of way less talented fighters than RJJ, through the history of this sport, showed the courage necessary to box in German territory with the risk of suffering an injustice. Thus, why was he so stubborn to not understand that for his legacy (especially after a series of overmatched, past prime or incapable opponents) it would have been fundamental a bout against Dariusz?
