Barely???.. Pitter pat punches vs solid clean shots Floyd dominated and if you disagree you seriously lack knowledge in boxing.

Its more of a case of Mayweather hating de la Hoya. Oscar has appeared to not mind Mayweather at all, its Mayweather who really dislikes Oscar. Probably jealous of Oscar's fame, money and will to fight everyone under the sun.

Floyd barely landed any punches the first 8 rounds! Sure, oscar's weren't that effective but he was easily outlanding Floyd until he started to gas and stopped using the jab. Talk about boxing knowledge  There wouldn't have even been a fight if Oscar didn't chase him.

The more Oscar tries to discredit Floyd, the more likely people might buy into the notion that Ortiz has a chance. The more likely people buy into the notion that Ortiz has a chance, the more likely people will buy the fight thinking that Floyd might lose.

And after Floyd obliterates Ortiz, he gets to brag about how he once again courageously proved all his doubters wrong, when if fact there were probably not that many doubters to begin with.

according to news reports prior to their fight there were some tough negotiations, floyd went against the grain, prior to that fight oscar got pretty much what he wanted money wise. But like the pac and floyd fight both fighter brought somethng to the table to negotiate with, there was a lot of money involved and perhaps oscar resents not taking floyd like he did everyone else after all at the time he was the golden boy/cash cow

Oscar has enough money to by Floyd and his whole family. that's not the issue. It's Floyd's lack of respect for him and generally EVERYONE. Floyd is an *******. Great fighter but an ******* of a person. Nobody likes to give an ******* credit even when it's due.

it one thing to withhold credit but another to continue going out of your way to bash another boxer when you have retired

Floyd outlanded Oscar 2-1 in compubox. The vast majority of Oscars punches were ineffective flurries on the ropes that hit Mayweathers arms. Floyd's punches were precise and clean. Floyd Mayweather was a junior welterweight, who couldnt make the light middleweight limit. Oscar was a full fledged light middleweight.

The full fledged Mayweather that fought Marquez and Mosley beats any version of Oscar.

Promoter promotes fight by making a big underdog seem more "live" than they are. Crazy Crazy stuff. It's almost like he gets paid to say these things.

You don't know wtf your talking about. Delahoya didn't deserve a single round of that fight. You believe whatever the mouth pieces say during a fight because you completely lack knowledge of what you are watching. Do us a favor and stop watching boxing and pick up NASCAR.

i wouldnt call him washed up but he was on the slide

after hopkins beat him he became inactive and fought very little between 03 and 06/07

he seemed more focused on promoting rather than boxing

oscar wasnt a bum or anyhting at this point but he wasnt the oscar that we all rooted for vs mosley and vargas

oscar clearly lost some of his speed and could not handle some aspects of floyds game

i wasnt particularly shocked with how their fight played out

as for primes well oscar in his prime at 147 was a true welter floyd really isnt a true welter

    would be much closer
