Why does degale get the opportunity to fight Wilczewski and not groves?

    Wasnt highly talented boxing prospect degale supposed to destroy ugly kid groves? yet he loses but still ends up getting to fight for a European title and in England as well.
    Meanwhile groves beat him for his british title and still hasnt got a fight lines up. I dont like the preferential threatment for gold medalists, at this rate you get an hypejob like degale fighting for a worldtitle in a year while groves is stuck fighting in England for years.
    Doesnt seem very fair to me.

    Well to be honest their are a few names I would like Groves to fight :

    Karoly Balszay - WBA Supermiddleight Championship ( if he wins it )
    Anthony Dirrell - Andres younger brother ( could be worth watching )
    Edwin Rodriguez - Sparring partner of carl froch
    Aaron Pryor Jr - Lost to rodriguez but beat Andrade recently
    Renan St. Juste - I think he was supposed to be fighting Bute/kessler but it didnt happen

    The chances of any of these fights happening = not very likely. Groves is going to be protected a bit in my opinion

    I thought DeGale won.

    Doesn't bother me.

    Groves will probably get a good fight for himself as well. Neither stock really should have went down after the fight.

    Spot on.

    I thought Degale beat Groves anyway. Its not as if Groves dominated him. The win could have gone either way. Loads of people think Degale won.

    I also thought Degale beat groves, Adam booth (groves' manager and trainer) said he wanted to get Groves the fight for the European belt but he was to busy working on the Haye vs Klitshcko fight.

    Its all about his promoter getting him that match.
    Frank is hoping Degale will turn into his Golden Boy and not leave him like so many others have

    i thought he nicked it too.... if there is a case for groves it was down to degale being a lazy ***** and throwing it away.

    grovces will definatly be protected because of his chin and lack of real skill. i like him though! he has big heart and he throws good combinations, i just see degale as the better of the two.

    Exactly, Haye and booth will still be crying over Haye/Wlad while Groves stands in the corner wondering if he should ask about his own career, sad but true
