Why does Deontay Wilder always have crappy mandatories?

Since becoming champ, he's had two mandatories to deal with. The first one, being Bermane "The Beached Whale" Stiverne which did nothing to earn a 2nd shot at Wilder except sit around and now we have Dominic "The Dad Bod" Brazeale who will most likely get starched in a few rounds. Like Stiverne, Brazeale did nothing to earn his shot. By beating up punching bag Eric Molina, that somehow gives him a title shot while you have an actual deserving challenger in Dillian Whyte.

I'm willing to bet that the WBC will mandate another slug to be Wilder's mandatory after the Brazeale fight. Maybe Kohnwacki or hell ....maybe even Sconiers! Or Nichols! Lol

    WBC are clearly protecting him.

The whole Povetkin thing was dodgy from start to finish, and the last couple of years with Whyte.

The reason Wilder's resume is what it is , is because the WBC is the only belt the US holds , its been a Lewis and Klitschko era and the states have not held a piece of the HW belts .

    Ask yourself the following ...
Since becoming Champion has Wilder made any maneuvers to fight outside the US ?
Has Wilder actually hunted a genuine threat other than questionable conditioned fighters ?
What is the purpose of the WBC silver belt ?
Why does he only face other Americans ?
Why is Fury now with ESPN not having a rematch ?

Honest answer is the American Boxing Commission does not want to lose the only HW belt they have . If they fought AJ , Whyte where does that leave the American audience and TV networks ? Honestly what do you think the conditions of Fury accepting that contract was about . Fury took the pay under conditions of leaving the WBC belt alone for a time and to quote "build his profile" . This is about the American boxing elites on damage control and saving face to spare themselves from embarrassment levels of saying anything stupid like the Lewis - Grant situation . This is why so many American people turned off boxing , the bias , the dodging , the dives , the fixes , the stupid claims of USA is the best all the time .

I have to say apart from Eric Molina, Breazeale is the luckiest fighter to ever have two title shots. Breazeale only fight one notable guy (Amir Mansour who bit his tongue in half) before fighting Joshua then Breazeale fought some more bums, a decent fighter in Izu and bang another title shot.

If the fight goes past 4 rounds i'll be looking for a Breazeale knockout ,( if it reaches round 7/9 i'll be worried) if it gets past round 9 and wilder hasn't hurt Breazeale , I expect Breazeale to win.

If your not a US or US based fighter, WBC will shaft you to protect their investment in Wilder. Povetkin, Whyte, Joshua, all the best foreign fighters are avoided like the plague. Dont expect Wilder to fight Usyk or Hrgovic anytime soon.

WBC are in league with Haymon. HW is not the only division where his fighters catch breaks from them.
