yes he failed to stop boneclutcher........but he won every rd....and if that fight was nowadays...the fight woulda ended up a dq by the 8 th rd.......so why does everyone say tyson looked horrid....nobody says lewis looked horrid agains akindwande........or they just haters like foreman hoooook:huh:huh:huh
Bonecrusher fought a completely negative fight and still got busted up.. Theres only so much you can do when a mans sole purpose is to survive..
Bonecrusher illegally clinched a millions times, & should've been DQ'd like Akinwande was against Lewis. But Mills Lane was poor that night. When Bonecrusher wasn't stinking out the joint with extremely excessive holding, Tyson dominated him with explosive bursts. Mike easily took the first 11 rounds, i gave Bonecrusher the 12th, since he momentarily stunned Tyson with the best bomb of the fight, a flush nuke right on the chin. Bonecrusher was a powerful dude, who brutally obliterated Tim Witherspoon with 3 knockdowns in the first round, in his previous fight.

Lane should have deducted Tyson a round for his disgraceful blatant late punch after the first round. Tyson was easily frustration. Arguably Lane should have DQ'd Smith - did he even deduct any points ?? Smith sucked big time in the fight. Tyson sucked a bit too, to be honest. He coasted quite a bit in the clinches, and did some holding himself. He got pissed off too, and let it effect his performance. Really disappointing fight, failed to live up to expectations. People thought a short slug fest was guaranteed. The promotional tag line was "Don't blink or you'll miss it" ..... turned out most of us wished we had missed it !
