We all know Wlads chin isnt the best, yet he has found a way to beat the top contenders comfortably by staying out of range and using his jab, Surely thats the sign of a good champion.

Mike Vick was very giving when it came to charities, donations and what not. Then he gave some chick herpes and was involved in a massive dog fighting scam, including him admitting to participating in dog killings.

My point is just because a guy seems all kosher on the outside doesn't mean there aren't deep as sin skeletons underneath. I wouldn't want my kids worshipping an athlete because as we've seen recently, they're all flawed.

Then again kids will be kids and you can't control their brains.

Thats one way to looks at it. take the Sam Peter fight, Wlad could have finished that fight but kept beating on Peter, it would have been kinder to KO Peter than beat him needlessly for 4 round. Wlad beat on him for 4 rounds because he was so focused not on being caght by a stray punch he carried on with the punishment.. and thats not the best boxing to watch.

    :good
thats what so great about him...he is not some dumb ass with no plan and goes in swinging. He has a plan and executes it to perfection. He is one of the smartest boxers along with Steward at studying his opponent and making a gameplan prior to the fight.

You should see those guys study and talk about what to do...its very impressive to watch

Fair enough. It's hard for me to not appreciate the better boxer. It's not that boxer's fault that the competition didn't come to engage as in the Ibragimov fight. Even with that boring fight Wlad maintained control & won the WBO to begin the unification process that ALL BOXING FANS should recognize and appreciate.

Did you expect Mike Vick to get busted for HALF the **** a few years back?

My point is that you never really know anymore these days.

Obviously Chef deals with Wlad on a full time basis so he knows a lot better...but you just never know with people.

There are examples of this in every facet of every league in sports....and there are a lot more guys who are guilty than innocent.

Quite right. I was watching some older Tyson fight & the crowd & even the announcers were questioning Iron Mike for not getting his opponent sooner. It was only the 4th or 5th round...............:rofl

If you want to watch two big dudes slug it out with technique & caution to the wind you should watch the Toughman Competitions.

If Mike tyson is fighting Tomato Can by way of Heinz, I expect him to get rid of the guy as soon as possible.

It's like watching JCC Jr go 10 rounds with guys who are D- class opposition. OF COURSE fans are going to get pissed...they pay the money for it.

Shaq is a good role model, Michael Jordan too. Kurt Warner is a great example.

Wladimir's only undeserving opponent, who had no real reason to be a mandatory, was Ray Austin. You can thank Don King for that. I'm sure he paid a pretty penny to have Ray ranked that highly................

Either way Wlad beat him down easily & early.
