:rofl:lol: I actually agree to extent on what your trying to say, between the gay pictures he did with his brother a few years back and the way he carries himself, doesn't really scream tough or exciting to the average american fan. As much as I hate to admit it, the guy seems like a pretty decent dude outside the ring, and you never hear anything negative about him the news or that, which is rare to some American fans who grew up watching guys like Ali and Tyson guys who seemed to be in the spotlight in and out of the ring most of their respective careers.

I am a Wlad hater, but when some MMA *** calls Wlad a ***** for looking scared in the ring, I'm the first to point out that their favorite fighters like Fedor or Rampage, couldn't stand anymore than 30 seconds in the ring with Wlad, without being knocked out cold. So in a way I do defend Wlad when the time calls for it.

90% of Americans fans want a champion from Usa or a brutal mindless killer. Most of them do not understand boxing as a sports, they want to see a street fight. That's can explain growing popularity of MMA and same ****.

That's the sort of stupidity that makes boxing looks small time.

As per what American boxing fans want, I don't think they have a preference in their fighters attitudes. I DO think they have a preference in terms of their fighters performance..in that they be exciting.

Wlad may be too calculating for American fans and being European doesn't do him any favors. Lennox wasn't well liked for being euro but I think he satisfied most people by being exciting for the most part and by beating the best America had.

I think that's part of the problem with Wlad. What sort of rivalry could he have in this HW crop? A fight against Arreola? Against Haye?

There's a lot of slim pickings...

    Speak for yourself.

Key words: Each other. Two guys who put their lives on the line every time they enter the ring. Calling someone a bum when you've never so much as stepped into one, however, is another story. Many people here fit into that category.

I suppose if everyone who called a fighter a bum admitted that they themselves are a bum, I wouldn't be bothered so much by it. I'll admit it. If I were in there with someone who knew what they were doing I'd look like a bum and I know it.

I think most people dislike Wlad for various reasons, those being:

    1) His style, though effective isn't pleasing to the eye
    2) He's white
    3) He's not American

But the top answer being the general main reason. It's a pity because I like the guy, top bloke.

dont you understand that fighters say **** like that to each other to sell tickets? to promote the fight

I dont care what you say, for a fan who does not fight or has never fought at there level for a living, calling a fighter a bum, is DISRESPECTFUL
