Why does everyone ignore Big Bang Zhangs fight against Forest

Absolutely ludicrous he was cleared to fight in that case. I sometimes wonder what the hell these 'doctors' actually do in the way of pre- and post-fight checks. Seems like if your skin isn't bright green and blood is shooting out your eyeballs they'll just clear you as good to go. Maybe even then.

 

It’s how he fights him that is important. He will need to take Zhang late into the fight when Zheng’s pace has slowed down and he comes on.

 

I don't think it is ignored, it's usually the first thing brought up in criticisms of him. Wrongly so in my opinion. Dude had a genuine medical scare at the time of the fight due to the dumb idea of drinking just one glass of water for a week. If anything it oughta show how tough he is. His body was failing him but he still finished on his feet. It's also worth noting he got Forrest down with blows that didn't even land flush, three times across three rounds, and Forrest isn't the easiest dude in the world to knock down. Not saying he has a chin of steel but getting him down three times early is still impressive to a degree.

It's not make or break to me. Just a bit of trivia which may or may not be factual.

 

Zhang could barely stand on his feet after a few rounds due to dehydration, Forrest managed to threaten him but not knock him out because he lacks punching power, if Zhang had taken in enough fluids that day, Forrest would have been destroyed...

 

Does anyone believe that bs that Zhang only drank one glass of water the week prior to the fight?

 

Reading this and seeing past performances

Zhang seems to have that Stiverne, more than 2 punches a round and his kidney failure rhabdo type body.

 

one drink of water in a week? no big deal if drinking other things, fatal if not.
