Thats a better place than Canelo will be. Defending paper belts in a dead division at 154 or not being a titleholder at all in 160.

Yeah because Canelo's 900k PPVs really made him anxious for a payday right? Golovkin sure is begging for for a 5m payday like he gave Maidana.

Why do people look at Floyd and think he's making people rich just because he himself makes 40m a fight? Ward and most Haymon fighters are 1-2m a fight. A couple fights and they are getting what they would in a fight vs Floyd.

Guys typically get career high paydays when they face pbf hence why everyone in the sport would fight him even today. He's a winning lottery ticket.

Lol!!!! Once again why would we need to be jealous of GGG? Think about that for a minute.

You're right it's not really that it's more keeping a consistent line of defense for the **** Floyd pulled....either way there is a connection. I love boxing, and really want to hear what people in the know have to say, but "we" are ruining it with the hate. Agendas run this place

My point excatly. GGG, being a much larger man, 6 divisions naturally bigger should be able to do things power wise, that a 36 yr old Floyd who started at superfeather couldn't.:good It really doesn't mean ****.

Except they wouldn't be playing keep away. Canelo would have to give him the strap which is likely what will happen.

One good thing has come out of this sorry 155 nonsense. It's been easy to determine those on this board who actually give a **** about boxing, from others who might as well be dribbling away inanely on 4chan.

Because the media were saying that Mayweather should've fought Golovkin... and Golovkin would've knocked-out Mayweather. DEAL WITH IT!

Only pochos like Canelo. The guy that was running away from Mayweather's jabs? I'll stick with real Mexicans like Vargas and Estrada.

We have a bunch of people on here that say GGG only fights bums and actively cheer for him to have to fight Canelo at a catchweight or for the fight not to happen at all. How does that make any sense? :huh

    Bunch of idiots.

If Canelo beats Khan (which should happen,) him and his team are going to demand the 155 lb limit to be enforeced. Loeffler and his team are going to argue vehemently for the standard MW limit, and they'll be well within their right.

I can't see Alvarez or Khan take on Gennady in the fall at the full 160. They're going to vacate the belt, and Golovkin will be pushed from interim champ into full WBC champion. That's 99% more than likely what's going to happen.

The only 2 twists in this scenario is if Khan beats Canelo and Alvarez demands an immediate rematch which I'm sure the WBC would grant. The only other way I don't see Gennady getting the WBC belt by September is if FLoyd comes back and decides he wants the winner of khan and Alvarez for the MW strap. Those are really the only 2 options that would force GGG to wait probably until 2017 to get that belt.
