Why does everyone let Wlad jab them to death?

for some reason it seems fighters just abondon their gameplan against Wlad after the first round.

The only guy to stick with it was Brewster in the first fight. Peter had success but it was just do to him eating monster shots and moving forward.

Brock had Wlad confused and was giving him a little bit of trouble with his body shots but then he crumbled.

The way Steward has Wlad fighting now it is almost impossible for someone to get inside on him.

The only guy to stick with it was Brewster in the first fight? Completely untrue. Brewster did the EXACT same thing in the second fight with Wlad. Klitschko was the difference, not Brewster. The point is that it does NOT matter what their plan is. Wlad is too good for any of them to execute their "plan".

Easier said than done apparently. I'm sure his opponents all come in with some sort of plan but the size, speed, accuracy & agility of Wlad are tough to train for.

my post was not bashing Wlad. Brewster was clearly not ready for a rematch in the second fight. No, I do not think Brewster would have won anyway.

Wlad has much better balance and footwork than he used to. That coupled with his hard fast jab has him being a very difficult fighter to face.

You could see the look of frustration on Rahman's face after about 2 rounds. The same with Tony Thompson in the previous fight.

Steward has turned Wlad into a very hard fighter to land clean punches on.

He has a very good jab and also they rather get hit with a jab than a right cross haha

cuz when u get in on him he just either steps back and crushes u with a right hand or holds u...noone wants to sit there and get that jab sledgehammered off their head but if u just throw sloppy t**** u will end up on ur face....this is why wlad is a great fighter

Foreman sucked with Doug Jones, Ali sucked with Ken, Mike sucked with
    Buster...Wlad's not avoiding anyone.
And today's heavy's are not that bad.

Wlad sticks to basic boxing fundamentals. The jab, distance, excellent footwork, the right hand, the hook. The best at using his height to his advantage with that ridiculously long reach, just like his brother. And damn it, it works!

I beg to differ. What version of Mike can get past that jab? I think he may slip past here or there and maybe even land something, but what makes you think Tyson doesn't taste that jab and abandon that strategy like everyone else? Mike lost to Buster Douglas in his prime. Who used a good, not great, jab.

You also completely discount the size difference which is huge.

.............and so the legend of Mike Tyson continues to grow. As if Wladimir is as shitty a fighter as those gawky white guys with afros & gym shorts that Mike built his reputation on. The 80's in general were only good because of Holmes & Tyson but their competition was nothing special.

What makes you so sure little Mike doesn't get hit with a Wladimir hook off the jab, or a bone crunching right hand?
