I dont agree with that because that is exactly what happens when fighers face Floyd, they have not ever seen defense, counterpunching, IQ like his before. Look at how clueless Manny, Marquez, Alvarez all are against him.

Yeah, but how would Floyd have been able to have hurt him to have gotten him out of his comfort zone?

There's no point in discussing Ray's fights with the likes of Norris and Camacho.

Yeah, he looked poor against Howard, but he hadn't fought for over 2 years.

I don't think Floyd would have been easy for Ray, but again, he'd have held big advantages both physically and mentally, knowing that Floyd didn't possess power at the weight and that he wouldn't have fought him toe to toe under any circumstances.

Almost all of those fighters weren't on the level of Ray, Tommy and Duran.

No, all of those guys you listed didn't duck him.

Only a fool would believe that Floyd wanted Manny, but Manny ducked.

Jeez, Ray, Tommy and Duran were on a completely different level to those guys you've listed. (the versions that Floyd fought)

Whose fault is that? Floyd's? They may not be on the Fab 4 level but Floyd himself most certainly is

Of course it's not Floyd's fault. But you're trying to use Floyd's wins against lesser fighters as some sort of evidence that he'd have beaten the Fab Four.

You keep looking at things with rose tinted glasses, I watched the Fab 4 and I never saw them face an opponent with Floyd's skill set. Sorry I never saw it. Floyd is something totally different to what they were facing in the 80s.

Do you think Leonard would bulldose Pernell Whitaker? I dont, and that would be closer to the experience of facing Floyd. And guess what, I think Floyd is better than Pernell

All I'm saying is that I would not pick any welterweight over Floyd. Could they possibly beat him..maybe, but I think a defensive master boxer has the advantage over anybody same weight.

You think Runfeather could potshot Hearns and his ridiculous reach? You'd never have found out since he would have ducked him until he was over 40.

Incorrect. Hearns would eat Runfeather for breakfast. Void doesn't have the power to ko Hearns and that's the only way Hearns gets beaten.

I just stumbled onto this thread. Not sure what to think other than the fact that if anyone actually thinks Floyd could beat Hearns they don't know **** about boxing. Floyd isn't beating Hagler either or SRL. He'd probably have his best chance against Duran but having watched both of their careers l envision Mayweather getting brutal beat down especially at 135. But given their sizes, Duran's the only fair comparison as l haven't seen anything in Floyd's career to make me believe he could beat these ATG's. They are all too big,too skilled and punched too hard for him to counter punch his way to victory.

    Here we go ^ :deal

Look, Floyd is an ATG, I don't deny it. But these guys are all wrong for him.
