Why does everyone seem to think Margo has a real chance, really?

I would say only the mainstream fans think so along with the gullible boxing fans.

The hardcore realistic fans know that a 24/7 does not give a guy a better chance.

Margo beats the shits out of Pac and then hands hims his ass on a wooden stick.

GO Margo ,He has nothing to lose but win. Roach should have kept his mouth shut ,he said Pac last fight that Pac was going to KO Clottey, didn't happen. Now Pac is going to sleep on this one. Even Roach said it himself that sooner or later these opponents are going to be too big for you.

MARGO BY KO ,what the fawk was they thinking taking this fight they were not going to be serious. TROUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. It is a good in breaking down how and what Pacquiao does, as well as some of his weaknesses, but I gotta disagree with the verdict. I think he is giving too much credit to Margarito's ability. Don't get me wrong, he is good as what he does but requires the right opponent for his pressure to work.

In order for someone to walk down Manny and take advantage they have to be quick enough on their feet and or hands. i don't think Margarito is fast enough to land repeatedly on Manny like he did lets say Cotto. Manny will try to shoot in and out constantly, away from harms way, which i am not saying he's gonna do successfully all of the time, but the amount of time that Margarito will have his hands on him wont be enough.

Margo isn't a killer puncher but more of a volume puncher which relies some assistance from his opponent to stand in the pocket and trade or eat punches ala Cintron/Cotto etc. He doesn't have the fast feet of say Ricky Hatton where he can keep up with Pacquiao's movement.

Roach also said, that he doesn't think this is the fight where the guy is just too big.

You cant honestly believe what you just typed.

I definitely have Pacquiao as the clear cut favorite. With that said Margarito was at one time considered an elite level fighter. Combine that with the fact that Antonio has so much to gain and so little to lose, and that he truly does seem to be determined to pull of the fight of his life, could make him dangerous opposition. Nobody should underestimate human will, and occasionally a fighter with his back against the wall, much like Margarito's has been this past year, can, with sheer willpower raise themselves, body, and mind into a state that nears invincibility. It's a rare thing but we have seen it a few times throughout history, and I think in the back of many peoples mind, they feel like this could be one of those occasions. Whether or not that kind of performance would even be enough to beat Manny remains to be seen, but hey that's what makes boxing and this fight in particular so intriguing.

I think what people are finding interesting now is the whole "when is it going to be too much for Pac" angle and it's this that increases Margo's chances in peoples eyes. Pac has been hurt in fights and what I find interesting about the fight is that they both throw a high volume of punches, if Margs can hurt Pac and back him up then what happens? What if Pac's punches don't hurt him as much as they believe they will do? For my money Mosley hits harder than Pac so I wouldn't base any outcome on what happened in that fight, also with the wrap controversy everyone has to agree that would of thrown Margarito's mindset and made Shane inspired. Also I'd have to see Pac go to the body to bring down Tony, if he gets too close I think he'll eat some nasty uppercuts at some point.

I'm not a Margarito fan in the slightest but I do see him having a good chance here, I think what Dundee said about backing up a southpaw to neutralise them is true and Margs won't stop coming forward.

Pac doesn't hurt Marg and he keeps coming? What does Pac do?

    Margarito KO 10.
