Why does everyone seem to think Margo has a real chance, really?

AM will have over 15 lb on PAC on fight night. He has a granite chin and will have been hit by much bigger punchers than PAC. He is fit and will not stop throwing punches the entire fight.

That is why he has a chance.

if i did not think he would be weight drained then i would go with margo as well.i think he is to big and strong for manny.just run him over, manny cant box like mayweather and manny likes to fight.at some point margo will land, manny throws them hands up and wants to fire back and then we have a slug fest.

but hell i dont know if margo got paid off to throw the fight at some point.
or if margo will be weight drained and just come in the ring shity looking and fighting.
the best thing is for it to be a good fight, so manny can just win with no excuses.

manny stops him in 3rds im thinking weight drained and or fixed or both.he stops him after 7 then ill give it to him.lol hats ****ed up aint it.

He better be focused or he is going to get sore neck for looking up Margo's face. Margo said in 24/7 when he gets in the ring he would realize the deep **** he's in.

It's doubtful he'll be weight-drained. He isn't left-hand dominant. He's always had elite level stamina and durability. He's about five inches taller. He'll be probably ten to fifteen pounds heavier, naturally, or more.

The two healthy men Pacquiao beat at welterweight were already beaten by Margarito and Margarito would have easily beaten the version of Oscar that Manny fought, I have to assume. Margarito is a good championship level fighter against an all-time great champion who's way out of his best weight class. It's not irrational to believe that Manny might actually hit a wall against someone far more durable than Cotto and far more active than Clottey at 150 pounds.

I favor Pacquiao, yes. But Margarito went from being a world champion and beating world champions and being avoided, and being favored over Mosley to people scratching their heads and saying "****, why would anyone think he stands a chance against Pacquiao?" ...People went from overestimating the guy to sorely underestimating him.

I basically said in another thread that the most likely outcome was Pacquiao by decision. I said 50% chance Pac by decision, 25% chance Margo by knockout, 10% each for Pac by knockout and Margo by decision, 5% other (draw, TD or DQ for either man on a fluke). I stand by that.

Remember, Cotto did get his ass kicked but also remember Cotto absolutely never had the durability Margo has and he still could have made it to the bell, he got a mercy stoppage from the ref. He was in no more trouble in 12 than he was in 11 that I remember. Pac has not proven to me that he's a huge puncher in the realm of a welterweight Mosley. A puncher, yes. But he doesn't have that kind of brute strength, I'd wager. Granted, Margo's chin probably will be as it has always been, much more available than Cotto's or Clottey's, but like he's more durable than Cotto, his much higher than Clottey activity level should lower Pacquiao's activity from what he did with Clottey significantly, if he starts faster than usual. I think he knows he has to. I still have doubts that Pac stops Margarito on anything other than a late TKO or RTD if it were to happen and I still think there's not much chance of that. This comment is too long, Pacquiao may stun me again and blow him the **** out, so I'll shut up now. Hopefully my reasons sounded fair.

in the cotto fight, margo was being stunned and pushed back with power punches but still was able to close cotto down and eventually break him down

if margo reacts to pac's punches the way he reacted to cotto's, there is no chance of beating pac because pac won't get cornered like cotto did.. this way, pac by UD or if lucky, pac by tko

but if margarito just stands and trade with pac, then there is a live chance for margo.. this way pac by SD or margo by TKO or UD

you guys tend to underestimate the weight disparity

margo only has a punchers chance, in that if he lands a lucky shot and pac cant take it, the fight will end.

but using logic, everything points to a victory for pac. nothing points to a victory for margo.
