    stop it right now.

canelo is a good fighter, he does subtle things when he's boxing on the outside that surprises me but it doesn't impress me. the guy can barely cut off the ring and he moves in a straight line. his style isn't anything cotto hasn't seen before and there's no reason why cotto's chin wouldn't hold up against canelo(canelo ain't no goddamn killer, stop the bullsh*t). cotto wins by UD and goes off to get knocked out by GiGi

Cotto's face doesn't handle punishment so great since he had concrete used on him.

Both guys will be launching missiles at one another, and Cotto is the more available target.

Though, I wouldn't be surprised if both guys suffer KD's.

I think Cotto's wear and tear, the age difference, Canelo being naturally bigger, et cetera. Canelo just seems to me to be the type that will wear Miguel down. I wouldn't exactly be shocked if Cotto out boxed him but I think when he feels Canelo's power he may start retreating.

I don't think he stops him either, but fully expect a UD with Miguel's face looking like he was hit by a bus.
And like said, he isn't going to take the fight (read brutal beating) with Golovkin. His previous antics have made that very clear.

Cotto is already insinuating he will NOT be fighting Canelo toe2toe
so it's obvious he will try to outbox him but he doesn't have the elusive skills of Lara so he might get stopped late.

People think that Canelo will beat Cotto based on triangle theory. Trout beat Cotto, Canelo beat Trout. The general consensus is that Alvarez is a good young fighter entering his prime and Cotto is a good old fighter past his prime, above his best weight, and on the slide. Cotto's latest victories have been attributed either to luck at encountering fighters more damaged than he was, or to roids.

Yeah, but the same theory can apply to Cotto giving Floyd a much better fight than Canelo did, and Canelo getting outboxed by Alfonso Gomez prior to a shady stoppage versus Cotto's performance there. I think the biggest question is how well Cotto's chin can hold up, he really hasn't taken a solid shot in a while since he steamrolled Rodriguez, Martinez, and Geale basically taking no damage. His skill level, consistent workrate, and movement is leagues better than Canelo but Canelo will get in at least a few big counters in.
