Not true, Cotto can take thunderous shots. Did you that pic of Pac's uppercut landed on Cotto? His entire head looked contorted completely out of proportion, it was shocking anyone could even get up. His ability to take singularly devastating shots is there, it's when he tires that overall punch resistance seems to go down. Even then, it's a just a dramatic reaction that he gives to being hit and not so much that it is actually affecting him greatly. You never see Cotto looking "hurt" until late, no matter what happens to him early, clear evidence that's it not his chin in question, it's the stamina.

Mayweather never stood toe2toe with cotto he took more risks its just because we are so use to seeing him be evasive and even if he goes toe2toe for a little it seems amazing.

Mayweather did stand and fight cotto at times but it was rare

Cotto has only been stopped by a cheating toni and a prime Pac thats not shameful

Cotto also fought a close to prime sugar shane and took his shots well.

    You are incorrect.

Demarcus Corley had Cotto on ***** street deeper than any other time I've seen and it was in the

Cotto's best bet is to move and box at range using that excellent jab. By no means should he go the body, he would then be too close, Canelo would be able to counter up top in combination (which he does excellent by the way). Any fight on the inside, Canelo wins: too big, too strong, shorter shots, better combinations.

because cotto has shown twice he can be broke. He's the older man, the fight in him won't be the same. He has a chance to beat canelo but he's going to have to use his feet, if he walks head on to canelo then it'l end rd6-10 IMO.

If he trades too much, Canelo has the advantage. I think Canelo is the better boxer of the two, in the center of the ring, offensively and defensively. Cotto has the better foot movement though.

Canelo could stop him, I'm just not sure he will.
