Why does fans think that Hatton can beat Paulie easily? I know that Hatton is the favorite to win and he should be but why is this an easy fight for Hatton? I think this is a tought fight for Hatton because Paulie does everything in the ring that Hatton has trouble against. I think this is a 50/50 fight and it can go either way. Don't look at the KO record and say that Hatton will win easily.

Because Paulie is not the champion...Herman Njoudgo is the real IBF champion...

instant rebuttle to that is looking at the ngoudjo fight and the robbery that was and also the fact that it was at 147 where ricky has proved much less potent.i think its a fight hatton is favorite in and although paulie has a decent chance i dont see him winning it.

we're talking about boxing ability, not champions. there's a big difference in boxing most of the time.

thats because most british fighters don't put their balls on the line internationally.

hatton did though. he's the fighter i respect most out of the brits.

Paulie has solid skills and speed, but he can't follow a gameplan well for 12 rounds. Hatton should have success with his rough housing attack and Paulie will not be able to keep him at the right distance for very long. Malignaggi will most likely lose control of the fight by the mid rounds after Hatton forces him to fight the majority of the rounds on the inside. Malignaggi also isn't a big 140 pounder and he's featherfisted.

However, it's still a fight Malignaggi could win. He's a quick southpaw with a decent jab and enough skill to give Hatton trouble. If Hatton doesn't show up in top form and Malignaggi improves a little, it's a 50/50 fight. IMO, Hatton is going to become past-it very soon, if he's not already. His lifestyle isn't good for his health and with his fighting style, he could only be highly effective when he's young, motivated, and in top condition.

Hatton would clearly beat Malignaggi in my view. Malignaggi is a basic, orthodox boxer. He has nothing but good lateral movement and an up-jab. He doesn't have the power to deter Hatton or the counterpunching skills that Collazo and Mayweather have, so I really don't think this would be a story of Hatton walking into quick shots he doesn't see coming.

Hatton would get inside, maul him, and wear him down with body shots and grappling. I'd say he wins a 9-3 UD.

or do you mean against americans, becuase every british champion i can think of definatly fought plenty of fighters from outside their own country.

i think you mean put their balls on the line in the face of the mass american media.

to be respected internationally you need to make your mark in america. you know this.
it doesn't have to be against americans but this is how the game works.

if you disagree then i'd like to hear how and why?
